Last season, Original Sin dared to bring a still-warm franchise back from the dead, and Summer School continues to prove that this campy, bloody teen drama has so many more scares and secrets left in its tank (hopefully for many more seasons to come).
-
The fact that the five Liars on the show are in group therapy together for the shared trauma the endured last season is the grounding force of the show. .... The new season brings a new killer, new romances and friend dynamics, and enough changes from last season to make it feel like it’s not just treading the same ground.

It also deals, at times seriously, with issues about overcoming trauma. All of this makes one hope that this “Liars” club sticks around [at] least for its junior year. We might even follow them to grad school.

Season 2 is a polished, well-thought-out sequel to Original Sin that proves its titular Liars are not to be messed with.
