I was incredibly satisfied to find multiple references to the games as well. Goh catching a buff Magikarp in Sinnoh, the desert ruins in Unova, Hoenn's Lavaridge Town hot springs. Their's plenty of cute stuff for the kids to enjoy, but alsoI was incredibly satisfied to find multiple references to the games as well. Their's plenty of cute stuff for the kids to enjoy, but also touching moments for Pokemon Veterans to look back on. This season also sees the return of old favorite anime-exclusive characters like Dawn, Brock, Gary, and even original characters like Paul.

I love all the new characters too. Goh is an adorable Poke-Maniac who acts like a concerned parent around his Pokemon family. And with his Raboot and Drizzile acting like moody teenagers, I can't help but burst in laughter. A lot of the Galar charters have been given more screen time as well. And I think I like them a lot more here than the games. Sword and Shield had really mediocre storytelling and a lot of bland moments. But everything about Galar has been fleshed out, to the point of making Chairman Rose a much better villain in the Eternatus Special.

While Generation 8 of the Pokemon franchise has some of the most embarrassing games in the series, it also has one of the greatest anime seasons. I'm glad I can enjoy the new generation of Pokemon now. The battle action is fun, the storytelling feels fresh, the new characters are adorable, even the comedy is excellent. It's one of the best kids shows to watch on Netflix and old Pokemon fans will really appreciate it too.… Expand

A good Pokemon Series, but XY was better in every way. I don't understand that fans don't like Goh.
