Alas, this documentary seems to just be about hating straight men. Cara keeps saying the phrase 'objectification of women' as if it's something evil, then totally turns a blind eye when gay men do it to each other.

The message here is clear: straight men = bad Everyone else = good Also, why are straight men painted as only being into hyper aggressive, borderline rape-like scenes

Also, why are straight men painted as only being into hyper aggressive, borderline rape-like scenes involving school girls? Or into Hentai? That is false. In fact, that stuff turns me off completely.

Personally, I genuinely like erotic, interesting, intimate, grown up porn, usually with women above the age of 30. I, as an evil straight man, get turned on by seeing those women turned on and into it.

I get VERY turned OFF if I feel a woman is in any way uncomfortable or doing something against her will. So, I shouldn't be made to apologise for terrible porn just because I'm straight. But, in amongst 'THE MESSAGE' Cara does ask Porn to be more appealing to our emotions, and represent something more human and 'ethical'.

That feels good to see and hear.

Well, I'm sure it's very interesting and stuff but I only lasted 20 minutes. My problem was all these shots of Delevingne being quirky or whatever. I have nothing against her but I don't know why the editor/producers/director think I wanna see the presenter pull faces and swish her hair around. Basically I was expecting much more information per minute so all that BS was just insufferable.

Each episode of Planet Sex has a different balance of informative vs. playful, but it never strikes an off-color tone. Delevingne seems both excited and curious to speak with all of the show's participants. What’s more, she’s intent on changing public perception of the topics that she covers—even if it’s in her signature, outlandish style.

Despite our reservations about Delevingne as the host of Planet Sex With Cara Delevingne, the show manages to cover a lot of ground and still be informative about topics we thought we already knew a lot about.

Despite flashes of silliness and fun, Planet Sex manages to be neither. If your sole exposure to queer culture is Target Pride Month crop tops and Nathan Lane in The Birdcage, Planet Sex may very well be revelatory. For many of us, however, it’s something of a joyless slog through a subject that should very much be the opposite.
