After making his screen debut in various movie shorts throughout the 1960's, and having Saturday morning series in the '70s, '80s, and '90s, the Pink Panther makes his return in this new series, his first for the 21st century. While this series has a few of the same characters, the main difference here is that Pink Panther is younger than originally seen from his previous series which is all right since he's still cool, rambunctious, and headstrong. In most shorts, Pinky is pitted against his rival Big Nose, the short, stocky man who usually gets unnerved when Pink Panther gets under his skin. He usually finds a way to cause him trouble. Occasionally, he has his dog around to help him, but most times, Pinky is able to thwart their efforts to come out on top. Sometimes, he himself, gets assisted by White Horse, who's much friendlier than seen in the original Pink Panther shorts, providing our hero with a ride or with whatever help he needs.

Other characters seen from the original Pink Panther shorts making their return in this series are the duo of Ant and Aardvark, who continue their adventures with Aardvark's neverending (and usually failing) efforts to make a meal out of Ant, who's still clever and cunning enough to outwit him, denying his adversary his much-desired snack.

The format for his series is three 6 to 7-minute shorts per half-hour episode, with one Ant and Aardvark segment airing between two Pink Panther shorts. Originally, the series made its debut April, 2010 on Cartoon Network, but can now be seen on its sister station Boomerang. This may alternate from time to time, so viewers should check your local TV listings as the schedule is certain to change.
