“I Love Everything,” available today on Netflix, is one of the best stand-up sets you’ll see this year.
-
Oswalt’s comedy will put you at ease for an hour.
-
I Love Everything Oswalt deals with the lives he’s rebuilt since—both his and his daughter’s. The result is a thoroughly entertaining hour from one of the most consistent comedians of his era.
-
This isn’t the brash, acid-tongued nerdy Patton Oswalt of the past, this is instead a more domesticated and content creature. Maybe he does indeed love everything. More power to him. Because apparently happiness does not preclude humor.
-
Patton Oswalt is changing into a different, more empathetic type of comedian, but for those willing to follow along on his new path, there are ample rewards.
-
“Patton Oswalt: I Love Everything” is a typically smart and insightful and chuckle-inducing show from the amiable actor/writer/influencer.
-
The show’s engagement with current affairs is glancing, although Oswalt’s sole political gag (less about Trump than about being a comedian in the age of Trump) is very good.
