Over a decade since it was cancelled, the Party Down crew (well, most of them) return with Ron still doing his best and ultimately failing to control his employees.

It’s a shame that we only get six new episodes, but this long awaited return fares a lot better than the majority of revivals (Arrested Development, The X-Files, Heroes to name but a few), and more than lives up to it’s

Fingers crossed we don’t have to wait another thirteen years to see more new episodes!

I saw the first episode and it was not as good as the old show. There is hope though.

Just as strong as it was 10 years ago. I would have liked more than 6 episodes though as the original series had 10 episodes per season. It is very rare for a reboot to keep up such high quality.

The opening episodes of Party Down's third season successfully reunite nearly all of this brilliant workplace comedy's cast in a way that few other revivals have managed.

The revival does not disappoint, setting a new standard for series resurrections by being unafraid to tackle the low-grade dismay of financial precarity and middle-age failure. ... But the character beats are disrupted by the series’ now creaky commitment to broader gags.

A revival of a 13-year-old series, it feels full of freshman possibilities, and one hopes it doesn’t end here.
