Not the best season of Parenthood but still pretty strong. Kristina's battle with cancer was by far the most intriguing story line of the season full of the usual Parenthood teary moments almost weekly. I also greatly enjoyed the plot involving Joel and Julia's adopting of Victor. There were some story lines that did not work for me. Max's run for class president and almost everything that went along with it was pretty horrible. Although it only had a short 3 or 4 episode arc the plot involving the possible closing of The Luncheonette was probably the worst thing this show has ever done. Ray Romano was a welcome addition to the cast despite the fact that it resulted in Sarah's horrible treatment of Mark. Overall another solid season of the best melodrama on television. Expand

Some of the episode is forced--Sarah's babbling job tryout with Hank, for instance--but in those universal moments of family togetherness and transition, as these grown-ups who sometimes still feel like kids marvel at the mystery of parenthood, Parenthood is worth its weight in sentimental angst.
