Season 1 Review: Although they seem an unlikely couple, Cox and von Esmarch begin to grow on you, and they're both very personable. [5 Oct 2000]

Season 1 Review: Cox and von Esmarch might seem like the unlikeliest of couples, but the obvious chemistry between them makes Nikki slightly more palatable than the show's pedestrian material would indicate. [7 Oct 2000, p.C1]

Season 1 Review: There may not be much sexual combustion between Cox and von Esmarch, but they're charming and able young performers, and they're sweet together. Their show has a good heart. What it doesn't have, unfortunately, is a lot of laughs -- which is the one thing it has in common with most other WB sitcom attempts. [6 Oct 2000, p.11E]

Season 1 Review: The concept of Nikki sounds trite, but the execution is at least amusing in two out of the first three episodes. [8 Oct 2000, p.G-7]

Season 1 Review: What's depressing is that Cox is a very gifted comic actress, but she can't seem to land a role that doesn't involve showing off her ample cleavage. [7 Oct 2000, p.E1]

Season 1 Review: In short, tight, low-cut everything, with her talents always on prominent display, Cox appears so much older than the baby-faced Von Esmarch that their relationship looks perverted, if not illegal. [8 Oct 2000, p.F6]

Season 1 Review: Even with Las Vegas as backdrop, wrestling as a component and risque dialogue being spoken, WB's Nikki comes off as incredibly insipid. [8 Oct 2000, p.F1]
