This might have been the first episode in the show where we really see what George is made of. He believes he saw something that none of the rest of the town believes. They mock him and make prank calls. This upsets George but he doesn't getThis might have been the first episode in the show where we really see what George is made of. He believes he saw something that none of the rest of the town believes. They mock him and make prank calls. This upsets George but he doesn't get angry. He withdraws to the neighboring diner where he is recognized and taunted. Dick really shows his friendship here as he defends George, costing the diner all the business for that day. In the end, where the writers could have explained it all away as a joke, they end as George remains steadfast in his belief of what he saw as he looks into the night sky. Dick almost shrugs it off and leaves George there, but shows his friendship once again as he sits with his friend to hear the crickets and gaze into the night sky, before the scene fades. No laugh track, no joke, just a beautiful ending to a beautiful episode.… Expand
