    Season 8 started with the conclusion to Season 7's ending cliffhanger about Gibbs's past and the death of his first wife, and also featured a two-part episode (Enemies Foreign, Enemies Domestic), that finally delved into the relationship between Leon Vance and Eli David, and revealed even more secrets than anyone could expect.
