This season was, on the whole, boring as we are forced to sit and watch a very annoying Naruto as he learns a new skill... that was pretty much it. Not much else happened. I skipped half of the episodes at first in this season and I still understood what was going on. It is ridiculous

This is a review of the fourth season of the original run of Naruto from episodes 79-104, English dubbed. This season begins with the death of the third Hokage and Naruto's victory over Gaara, but after the invasion ends, the show slows down a lot. While there is an air of seriousness that was lacking in earlier seasons, we also begin to see Naruto's irritating side again. as he travels with Jiraiya. Their character dynamic is one of the best of the series, but it only really matures in the second series, Naruto: Shippuden. There is action to spare near the middle and we are introduced to Lady Tsunade, but this season ends with the Land of Tea filer arc that leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Once again, if you have invested this much time in the series, you probably know what all of this means. Expand
