Sailor Krypton...
None of these characters act like they have since the beginning of their creation to 2014.
Whatever they did to Livewire should be a crime against humanity.
And what they hell is up with the bib? Like who acts like that in public? Or in real life?
Do these creators know how to write stories?

Only thing redeeming is the art; the fact that the artist stayed inside the lines should be applauded.

Everyone seems to be written as monumentally dumb. This is why the Superman and Batman the Animated Series were wildly successful. Get more of that and less of the mass market, watered down writing.

Really Bad
You know it does not bode well for the show if already the first minutes suck terribly. How can Clark, already a decade into his powers still be breaking things left and right due to his strength every few minutes.
Because he is nervous? Come on, that is ridiculous. And also the other problem you notice immediately. Everyone seems to have their emotions scaled to 11. It might work in some shows where characters are backed by funny humour but here it is not. They, especially Lois, simply come of bipolar and annoying. None of them are likeable. And this is Superman! What is happening here?
The story is uninteresting and the villain might as well be any random person for all the menace and charisma his character gives off.
Just a terrible, poorly written, badly generic and unfunny show, a very bad name for the beloved hero.

I'll say this: Don't look to this show for any kind of faithful representation of the Superman mythos. If you are mostly a fan of animation (particularly this style of animation), or this is your first interaction with the character, there may very well be something here for you that I'm not seeing...
To be clear: I'm okay with re-contextualizing a legend like this, to a point. After all, it isn't the 1940s, or '70s, or '90s anymore. Settings, technology, and cultural references/influences are all fair game to update when reintroducing a classic character. (That said, Metropolis is apparently just San Francisco, which is somehow 150 miles from Smallville, Kansas?)
And in the impossibly large Kryptonian ship, Jor-El is speaking Italian, and there's a full-on Sailor Moon costume change.
I don't understand. And maybe I'm not meant to. Maybe this iteration wasn't made for me. That's okay. But I also don't know who it was made for. Or why.
In case you were wondering, I give it two stars for-when he finally does get his super sayan costume-Martha putting the red briefs on her little boy. The only joke I laughed at in 40 minutes.

Sure, the young Superman is a really attractive idea, but to make him look dumb, clumsy, every 5 minutes, and acting like a kid despite the guy is already a grown up... It's annoying.
The fact of how easily is to hurt him... I'd accept that from a kid version of Superman. But this dude is already a grown up, again, and getting his face bruised is ridiculous. Part of what makes the character interesting, is how strong it is. And I know a minority of people will disagree there, but this is a matter of preferences. And more importantly, a matter of how loyal it is to the original source. Superman should be able to withstand pain. And shouldn't be bruised so easily.
Then you have the weird trio relationship... They all behave like kids. Not teenagers, but 12-11 year old kids. It's funny at times, but that's also another thing... Why there needs to be a joke each 5 minutes? It felt like an episode of the Three Scrooges, where you have someone trying to be serious while the others are just trolling around.
And finally, the cast... Lois was annoying as hell. Also, what happened to her style? She used to dress really femenine, skirts, great uniforms, elegant.. And now she's a town boy. And let's not ignore how emotional she is in this show. Lois is not emotional. She's even cold at some sort of level, which is something she acquired from her militar dad. Jimmy was great, it's really an enjoyable character... But, why the hell the race swap? I'm getting tired of this. Same goes for Perry White and Lois. This trend really need to stop, because no matter if people hates Jimmy and Lois and insist they're not "Important". They are for some of us. And I'd love to see a perfect adaptation, no matter if "they gave one before". And a perfect adaptation includes the skin color, either people find that offensive or not, I don't care. Truth is the truth no matter what. Colors matter. Imagine if they were to give us a new show of Spawn with a redhead. It would be garbage.
(And btw, they really should give us a new TV Show of Spawn).
But overall, the show has a great animation, really beautiful characters despite everything else, and nice colors.. Not a good friend of the music. And I hated that weird animation each time someone was to show something cool, like if that character was a goddam robot evolving. Made no sense.
I'll try to see the next episodes, but I have no hopes for this. So far, there's nothing that really catches the eye or the interest to keep following the show.
But Since I'm a fan of the big blue, I'll give it a chance.

Trash. Always tweaking for a new audience. Leaving behind what made it great.

Most boring of all is the race swapping (Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane, Perry White...). Pretty much every character except Superman and his families. I was ready to let it slide because the voice cast is good, but, of course, males are incompetent, evil, stupid or cowardly. Yawn.
