While Mr. Robot stumbles with its 1st and 3rd acts, it doesn't matter when the show is still intriguing and the performances are still top notch. But the last episode is truly confusingly cliffhangery.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After a weekend of binge-rewatching all of season 1, I was ready for some heady stuff. I'm pretty pleased by the 2-part season opener. Fired up that Craig Robinson is part of the proceedings, and the introduction of Gummer as an FBI agent is great. Not sure what to make of Gideon's death - is it real? I surely hope not - I'm very much a fan of the actor and the character. I hope the season doesn't spend too much time on that battle between Elliot and Mr. Robot - I mean, sure, it's at the heart of the show. But too much of a good thing can be a problem. I"m digging the aesthetics of Angela's new life at E-corp, and Darlen's smart-house hack sequence is brilliant. The trip to Washington by the E-corp CEO may have been the weakest part of the opener, especially because that actor is brilliant, and the scene isn't worthy of his presence. Oh! And the Battery Park burning of the cash is super-effective, preceded by a highly realistic random note by fsociety. Excellent beginning of the new season. Fired up to see more. Expand

Now it´s told in a slower and more thrilling way. Still awesome and original. It introduces new characters as well. It is just amazing and I think everyone should give it a go.

Bad-ass start to the new season. Keep it coming, Sam! It's just such a rich, textured series. I tend to agree with the one critic who suggested that this could be as good as Breaking Bad eventually. Esmail wears his influences on his sleeve, but so what? He does it extremely well. I hope this goes 5 - 6 - 7 seasons. No early deaths!

Donde esta Tyrell??, sera Tyrell otra personalidad de Elliot ??, buen arranque de la segunda temporada narrando un mundo en crisis equiparable al propio trastorno del genial protagonista.

Those who have chosen to stick with season two are being rewarded with a brilliantly written, and near-perfectly executed, second season. While a different tone than Season 1, it's more interesting, and in my mind, more fascinating than season 1's fairly linear story.

Easily the best thing on TV at the moment, and the best show since Breaking Bad in my opinion. Rami Maleks acting of the Eliot character is sublime and even surpasses Christian Slaters acting. Unique series. Too much gratuitous sex, but even after deducting for that, this series is still a 10. Fantastic writing. Fantastic acting. Angela couldn't be creepier; Darlene is hilareous and a bad ass; Elliot is fascinating at all levels. Did I mention the writing was AWESOME -- story telling like never before.

Mr. Robot Season 1 was more accessible period. Season 2 is more excess and all the better for it. MR RBT & Esmail are taking risks few other series have before. Would The Sopranos have aired a single episode without Tony? Is Breaking bad as interesting without Jessie Pinkman & Walter White appearing in an episode? Episode "eps 2.6_succ3ss0r.p12" does exactly that. While we sit around Doxing WTF happened to Elliot one week earlier, Darlene's unpredictable actions and cat & mouse FBI / Dark Army story propels the story full speed ahead into a brick fire wall without a trace of Emmy Award winner Rami Malek or Christian Slater yelling in his ear. We even hang out with with Alf this season for Christ sake. Tyrell Wellick, finally makes an appearance and is simply reduced to tied up baggage, an after thought in the back up Elliot's twisted psyche that Sam Esmail couldn't possibly mine any deeper.

The flair of this series extends beyond visual seduction and gnarly needle drops. It's topical and relevant societal, political scenarios which frankly are so possible it's a horror show. One of my favorite scenes of the season: Elliot literally embracing (himself) to tears for Mr. Robot protecting well, (himself) from a horrible beating at the hands of Ray's henchmen and it's some touching **** somehow. Also, equally as compelling & beautiful is a young Elliot carrying the weight of his fathers unemployment & secret illness, hiding this truth from his own mother. Elliot's father rewards his loyalty with the task of naming the new family business. Any guesses to the name? The bottom line kiddo, is this is a show that could give a **** what you think about it, and is all the better for it. This isn't Burn Notice, it's Mr. ****ing Robot. So, FSociety & **** you too.

I thought season 1 was really quite good, definitely above avgerage. Especially considering its a mainstream american series (vast majority are **** imo), it was a welcome and pleasant surprise. Season 2 is way better imo, and probably lands at my no. 1 all time season of television. I think true detective season 1 got de-throned.

As a tech guy, I love how accurate Mr. Robot is! As a fan of fine TV series, I love how great Mr. Robot is written, played and directed. Actings are Emmy worthy, the story is astonishingly engaging and the directing is among the best in recent years!
I highly recommend this show to any movie and TV fans and it is a must see for techies and geeks!

Hey, Mr. Robot. WTF!?! This is the best approximation I can give the second season of this thrilling first
class drama, which shocked and impressed us again and again.

Even though the season started out bumpy, with a few too long episodes (running time over 60 minutes!), which were hard too follow and felt a bit stretched, Mr. Robot improved enormously. after episode 4. Overall I did adore the season.

This season went through some creative changes and most notable of them all was that Elliot's mentality became the center of storytelling (at least in the first half of the season). Rather than letting the story around Elliot progress placidly, it was pushed down constantly because of Elliot's paranoia and mental problems. Throughout the season I was not able to figure out what was real and what not. And even now - what really happened (Ray? Tyrell?)?. Where does the imagination stop? That kind of confusing narrative can destroy a really good story. Unfortunately.

Nevertheless, this season was saved by everything that was happening around three best characters on the show - Darlene, Dom, and Angela. Grace Gummer portrayed the overly - complex Dominique, for who we root for even though we are meant to root for fsociety (kinda). Carly Chaikin upgraded Darlene to astonishing rebel - figure. And Portia Doubleday overcame not only herself but the whole cast as well.

Apart from the award - deserving performances, the story lines of these characters were very intense and beautifully executed. From Dom meeting Whiterose to Darlene becoming the leader of a worldwide revolution.

Mr. Robot is only reflection of society today. Isn't it? Aren't we all caught up in the corporate - neoliberal frame that we can not escape? We are all in some kind of debt. And we all own something to someone.
And we now collectively own Sam Esmail a big thank you for bringing us a gut - wrenching, beautifully directed and overly - smart season of one of the best shows around the world.

    Thank you Sam.
