    I think the show has great potential, and I agree with the plot to date. I do not agree with Mick's character though. He just seems so much of a pushover. He doesn't need to be superman with fangs, but it wouldn't hurt if he wasn't so aggressively passive.

    Engaging cast, witty dialogue, beautiful set design, and the intrigue of the idea that vampires could be among us... What's not to like?

    Great show!!! Started off with a shaky pilot but after the shake-up, it cannot be faulted. And it had one of the best endings! This show gets better week after week and I cannot wait till Friday. I never watch tv and this is the only one I actually make sure I never miss. Give it a chance CBS!!!

    This show is amazing!!! I am a huge fan of Lifetime's vampire series Blood Ties, and I think this show is just as awesome. I really really really hope they keep it going!!!

    I needed something to look forward to through the boring work week, and this show is it. I disagree with the critics who say it's riddled with cliches; this show's story is quite different from other "garlic/stake/crucifix/exploding demon" vampire fare. And I like the slightly obvious nod to "noir" and "gumshoe graphic novel" moments. I say it's a keeper, and the best part I needed something to look forward to through the boring work week, and this show is it.     It makes me wonder when the population at large and your critics have such a different view of a televisin show. I mean, honestly, Alex O'Loughlin is charming, charismatic, and sexy as hell. The writng beats other shows like Buffy and Angel hands down. This is a vampire show for grown ups who actually like sexual tension and witty dialogue without the trappings of teeny bopper drama.     This show now joins Rome, Entourage, Arrested Development, and Boston Legal as my favorite television shows. And we are only 6 episodes in?!!! How can the critics and audience be THIS far apart? I love this show!

    I love Moonlight, and I can't wait until the next episode each week. I think Alex is great as Mick, and I love his voice and facial expressions. I love the humor in the show also. I keep watching the episodes over and over again!

    I think this show is simply fantastic. I've never been interested in those crime shows... but vampires give it an entirely new twist that I absolutely love. It's very unique, in my opinion. Instead of the usual vampire myths, they added a few different types of ideas to create an awesome show.     I love it!!!!! i was really surprised at how great the show is. Mick is awesome, such a great character. The story line and even the setting , both dark and romantic....please keep this on the air!!!!!!!!

    I adore this show. I simply love Alex O'Loughlin, I DVR the episodes and watch them over and over. I think Sophia Myles is great. I love Josh Dohring. My favorite scenes involve Mick and Beth or Mick and Josef. PLease don't cancel this show.

    This is a great show. Maybe not original, but a much needed break from the idiotic "reality" and game shows. This show has the potential to have a great following if given a chance to build a fan base. We all know the people that gave this show a bad review is just looking for something to complain about since they obviously have no taste !!

Comparisons to Angel, Forever Knight, Heroes etc are a waste of time. Those shows were what there were, this is what it is. Anyone who can't see how sexy Alex is must be dead.     So far I'm not sure. I like it enough to keep watching, but the 'good' seems sporadic. I hope they smooth out the rough edges and get a bit edgier with the plots, otherwise I don't see Mick St. John lasting past season one despite his immortality.

    I never, ever pay attention to what the critics say about a tv show or a movie because they always try to be all deep and show how intellectual they are. This show is just downright entertaining and Alex O is great for this part. Not to mention he's not that bad to look at either. (Big understatement!!)

    I usually don't agree with critics and in the case of Moonlight, many are just plain WRONG! The show is entertaining; a fun twist on an old genre with some good plot lines and twists. The cast is meshing better and showing their talent with each episode. Moonlight is something our entire family looks forward to watching each week, even my teenagers stay to watch it!

    I love this show. The cinematography is the inventive, edgy style you'd expect from Joel Silver, and it's always enjoyable and exciting. The British transfusion with regards to casting proved to be a stroke of genius: Alex O'Loughlin and Sophia Myles sizzle and engage in the lead roles. Support is duly given by a brillian Jason Dohring and perfectly creepy Shannon Sossymon. I love this show.     I like this show. The acting is excellent and I enjoy the romantic tension between the two main characters. How far can they go without the mythical complexity, remains to be seen. They need to focus more on developing Mic's vampire qualities into the story. It is too simple and not well defined. Right now we only have a detective series with a vampire as the lead character. The world seems very regular except for the fact that there are vampires among us. It just needs a darker setting and more vampire juicy action. When CSI ( the original series) started it had the same feeling as Moonlight, but the special effects and the stories made it different. In addition, after the first seasons you could tell that they change the setting to one with a darker and greenish color that made it more appealing and better defined in terms of style. Moonlight, in comparison, looks very common as it is, but there is that huge possibility in the story that keeps me coming back. It needs a better defined style and darker setting.     Love it !!! I see great chemistry between the lead characters and vampires have always been very appealing and erotic - to me anyway. The scene in the desert was fabulous. I like that it is different in its format and is not another reality show !

    This is my favorite new show on tv this fall. Everyone I know that has watched it is crazy about it. We all love Alex that plays Mick St. John. I think the first show was a little shaky but it is improving weekly!!!!!

    If I want reality I will watch the news. I love this show because it takes you away. It's not some sorry reality show with has been celebrities. It's make believe and sometimes after a long week I need a little fantasy in my world. And hey who better than Alex O'Loughlin to get your fantasies going!

If they use a cliché, they also make fun of it - and make fun of other vampyre-clichés which can be found in most series. The reason it's gotten bad reviews from "real" reviewers is because they've got a stick up their ass, and can't separate a good show from a bad.     What do critics know? I usually disagree with them, and this is no exception. Moonlight is (or was) my favorite show, and it fit perfectly between Ghost Whisperer and Numbers.

    This show is absolutely amazing!!! Mick, Beth, Josef and the entire cast have given me the desire to dream and to fantasize as if I was a teenager all over again (I'm 36) as no other show has given in long long time. It's a show that allows us to step aside our daily routines and troubles and urges us to see their cast's love, passion and chemistry. Moonlight is absolutely awesome.

    Moonlight is a beautiful drama about romance and what someone would do for true love. It is also funny and lighthearted and not "dark." With the vampire thing thrown in as an obstacle between Mick and Beth, their romance amps up about a bazillion.

    I couldn't wait for this show to start and it has exceeded all of my expectations as well as my friends. If I know I won't be home, it is definately set to be taped.

    Love this show...i believe that this show has much potential. It is a breath of fresh air from all the usual lawyer and cop shows. Although he is a PI there is something else he is a vampire. I love the whole concept of Vampires and i think Alex O'Loughlin is a supurb actor. He mezmerises me and i love the forbidden love between him and Beth. I hope it stays around. I live for Fridays!!!

    I am seriously wondering is I should stop reading and buying from my area newspapers and so call entertainment magazines If this is how they rate shows. I never paid attention until now. Moonlight has me watching TV again and not Renting DVDS on friday nights.

    The critics have so-o-o-o missed the target on this one! The actors are wonderful. Each Friday I can't wait to fall into the story and Mick and Beth's romance. Total escape! (It doesn't hurt that Alex O'Loughlin is gorgeous.)

    When the season previews came out, I thought this sounded like the dumbest show- I'm not sure why I watched, but it's between 2 of my other favorite shows, so I did, and I love it!!! The chemistry between the 2 is so awesome! I look forward all week to Moonlight, and Ghost Whisperer! I rearrange my Friday night schedule around watching them!!! I hope it's on for a long time!

    Great show! I hope CBS keeps buying more! I am a fan of Ghostwhisperer, but starting to like Moonlight even more. It's got great chemistry. I think the first show wasn't very good, but heard they got different writers, and it has gotten so much better. If you have only seen the first show, catch up on the internet and start watching the new ones!

    as a long standing vampire fan, this show has a lot to love, great characters, and awesome chemistry between the characters, all it needs is better flow between episodes, mainly to have the writers to all be on the same page with the story line.

    The critics are rating this TV show as though it is multi-million movie project. They have much too high expectations.     This show is great. No, it's not Angel. Thankfully, it's not trying to be either. This is a good show and deserves a large audience, which is growing everyday.     I started watching the show on the second or third episode, so the secret between Beth and Mick was more slowly revealed to me. Then I saw the first episode and I agree that it gives too much away. Still it is an enjoyable romp. The homes of Mick and Joshua are incredible and Mick is pretty sexy!

    I really loved moonlight. I watched the first season in 3 days and I am really hoping there will be a second one. Mick st john is a very intriguing character.

    There are some good lines and some cheesy ones, but the main thing that will make or break it for you is how you feel about Alex O'Loughlin. Personally, I don't understand the bad reviews for his acting--what others call stiff, I'd call subtle, but whatever (I think Americans' taste is closer to Bollywood than the BBC). And he's gorgeous.

    Was surprised at how unpopular this show was... Alex O'Loughlin leads this crime procedural with aplomb, and the build up of tension between Mick and Beth is more than palpable.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So I just stumbled upon this because Moonlight takes place 64. of highest use ratings and I had to laugh when I saw the critics score. But I understand it. I remember how I rolled my eyes because of the arrogant dude I saw in the trailer and I didn't watched the pilot (didn't like vampires anyway and the twilight books were just out and I was a "too cool" teen for stuff like that). Both of my parents watched it and one day I would join them at episode 10 (and again I rolled my eyes when the boyfriend of the female lead died so arrogant dude will get beautiful lady, so predictable). But what first really caught my attention was the chemistry between the two leads. I never really spend a second thought on "character chemistry" until those two caught me with it and I still never found a couple close to that. So I watched a bit more and then I watched it from the start and I got really really hooked. I never cared about a couple in a TV show as much as I cared about these two, who both turned out much more likeable then they first apprear. These critics are based on the pilot but Moonlight is a show that takes a bit of time to get into and it improves a lot. I don't know if I would have gotten into it if I wouldn't have started in the middle. It is far from perfect but it got a special kind of magic and it is still my favourite TV show of all time, despite the fact that I'm not into the topic or genre at all.… Expand

    [Mick and Beth's] across-the-decades bond, however, doesn't compensate for how pedestrian the initial story is -- playing like a conventional detective show, with Mick showcasing his otherworldly powers (strong, and very, very fast) only during a passable action sequence in the final act.

    The focus is on the dangerous and forbidden relationship between Mick and Beth and his efforts to keep his past a secret. Whether there's enough material there to knit together a series remains to be seen.
