Although it is not the best show on tv, it has potential. The question is how they develop the storyline. I think it has a good time slot by noth having anything really competing with its genre, so hopefully the writers can keep it interesting. Definate babe potential

No, it's not very original. But in a morass of lame reality shows and un-funny "comedies", it's entertaining, & I thought Mick was well cast. Yes, it's somewhat cheesy, but it's the kind of mind candy you might feel like watching when you want to crash on a Friday night after a long week. Not as horrible as I thought. it would be. I wanted to hate it but it was a little better than I expected, considering that this was done in the 1990s and called "Forever Knight."

This show is alright, but not great. That's probably because I'm not a woman and I'm not attracted to the lead character. It seems like a ton of women love this show...even my mom.

I thought it was cool. I'd like to see a few more episodes and see if it takes off.

As a Buffy/Angel/Forever Knight/The Hunger fan... This show has potential. I'd add more characters, get some story arcs going, add some underlying plots, hire new writers, and sell it to another network with a later time slot. Forever Knight worked because it took risks. Like an overweight coroner as a love interest. Moonlight needs a time slot and channel that will allow it to be risque and edgy. Unfortunately, it's jumping the shark already by having Mick reveal his secrets to the love interest in the second episode. Be like Smallville. Give us a Lana, but keep us watching till you give us Lois. Complicate the storylines more. Expand

So far I'm not sure. I like it enough to keep watching, but the 'good' seems sporadic. I hope they smooth out the rough edges and get a bit edgier with the plots, otherwise I don't see Mick St. John lasting past season one despite his immortality.

[Mick and Beth's] across-the-decades bond, however, doesn't compensate for how pedestrian the initial story is -- playing like a conventional detective show, with Mick showcasing his otherworldly powers (strong, and very, very fast) only during a passable action sequence in the final act.
  2. The focus is on the dangerous and forbidden relationship between Mick and Beth and his efforts to keep his past a secret. Whether there's enough material there to knit together a series remains to be seen.
  3. Moonlight is just a weak, generic private-eye drama with a vampire story overlay.
