There is very little superhero action here. The show is interesting at times, but it is, as too many tv shows are, slowed down too much and packed with filler. Had the show more superhero action and was faster paced, it would make for a really good show. As it is, you get one minute of interesting for twenty minutes of "meh." Expand

it started off interesting but I don't feel very motivated to watch much further. The character interactionit started off interesting but I don't feel very motivated to watch much further. The entire plot seems to have been presented in the first ep and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of developments since then. The character interaction is minimal; the main 2 characters played by the same actor, not really very engaging, and the girl is hardly noticeable. the main antagonist isn't very interesting, just a plain old fanatical. no real standout moments, no intrigue, no mystery. Oscar Isaac’s overacting doesn’t help this already badly told story. The creator can’t decide whether to be call Michael Orr serious in the mix of the two isn’t working.

What a wasted opportunity, mostly just cringe humour instead of an adaptation of a great comic series

Truth be told, at least in my opinion, Moon Knight is the first real disappointment of the MCU's phase 4 when it comes to the Disney+ shows.
Not because it was of poor quality but because it's the first one that leaves me with a sense of something being lost along the way.

The 6 episodes feel very short for what could have been developed in a more interesting way.
The material feels very under-explored and quite honestly what holds it together was that Oscar Issac was really committed to the role.

To some extent I question whether Marvel should have decided to present this character in a film, but I do acknowledge it would have been a risky move.
The Marvel machine is a big one and nowadays people will watch anything that has its name on it, but still I'm not so sure that Moon Knight would've been a big hit for the sprawling franchise.

I fully support the argument that the MCU needs to give its tired formula a strong makeover, but even with what Moon Knight tried to do to set itself apart, it lacked thrills, and most of all a genuine impact, because while I do applaud that despite being within the franchise's extensive storytelling, it can hold its own without real connections to other stories, it also makes you wonder what's the purpose of this character beyond this story. First because it has not yet been renewed for a second season and second because at the moment it doesn't look like Moon Knight is going to play a role in whatever Marvel is plotting. Time will tell.

And just for the heck of it, I have to mention that I couldn't help but think that Ethan Hawke was severely squandered.

This show is pretty, good so far the character development is keeping me on the end of my seat, and where only two episodes in, the suits are fire, and Ethan hawke makes a weirdly gentle, but crazy villan.

It has an interesting concept, but it ultimately fails to entertain and convince us that the suspension of disbelief is worth it. The acting, outside of Oscar Isaac, is pretty one-dimensional. It is hard to feel any bond or empathy for any character. The whole series of episodes contains numerous plot holes that make the story difficult to follow and believe. The Egyptian gods and their interaction with humans often just seem odd. And by the end of the Series, I don't feel that I have the answers and explanations for the story lines to make sense. This is the first Marvel series that I don't want to see another season of. Expand

CG in the show could be better, there are quite a few times you can tell it was green screen or unsmoothed CG in scenes. As the season went on it felt more rushed and isolated from the rest of the MCU. Really missed an opportunity to include Thor.

3 серии из 6 мне более менее понравились. А так - сериал в духе Индианы Джонса, мне такое не нрав.

The pacing is uneven I can get past most of the changes from the comics they aren't the most egregious bastardizations of a character from Marvel/Disney so I guess giving it a pass on that. The performance of Oscar Isaac is really what stands out in the show he does a great job. Ethan Hawke is an ok villain he does what he does in every movie or show gives an ok performance and you forget he was even involved in the project because he doesn't stand out as particularly good or bad. Leia the girl boss of this show isn't bad either she is less of a Mary Sue than most of these characters in Disney/Marvel projects. Overall the plot is ok pacing varies episode to episode just wish the Moon Knight show had more you know actual Moon Knight in it. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The show is pretty poorly written. Steven is a weak and cowardly character who won't even defend himself. Marc is a typical action hero. The Egyptian almighty gods apparently can't even tell when someone's lying. The jokes are very childish and the show is full of Ex Machina moments. The whole thing is like a well funded sharknado TV series. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I really wanted to like this show. I love Egyptian mythology so adding that element made me excited. But even that couldn’t make this show passage; like other MCU shows this was on par with CW superhero shows. The VFX was bad, that episode with the cupcake truck chase was good awful, marvel isn’t putting money into these shows visual effects. Oscar is a good actor but his stupid British accent took me out of the show and he shouldn’t whinny af. They should have casted an unknown actor instead of recasting actors from other properties. He’s already been in Star Wars and X-men; like give other up and coming actors a chance. All and all, another bad MCU show. Expand

While there are elements in here that I quite like, including the knockout performance from Oscar Isaac, it’s a mostly unfocused and half-baked mix of ideas that never really come together. I also didn’t find it to be particularly well crafted as it’s inconsistent in both the direction and visuals; I seriously think that it has some of the worst use of CGI in the entire MCU. Weak pacing is also a major issue here. That being said, I honestly can’t praise Oscar Isaacs performance enough, and there are definitely a lot of sweet action sequences and compelling ideas explored here… I just could never fully by into it. So, first of all, for a show called Moon Knight it has way to less Moon Knight in it! Maybe a total of 20 minutes? A better title would be "Oscar Isaac exploring unlikeable personalities". Biggest problem, these personas deviate a lot from the comic book origin, making the main persona a weak, submissive, unlikeable dude in constant need of saving which the empowered female gladly provides. If that is Disneys idea on how to treat Marvel characters right, I'm really worried for the future! Expand

First, amazing performance by Oscar Isaac proving once again what great actor he is portraying the problematic Steven Grant and Marc Specter. Unfortunately the CGI isn't always amazing, especially for Moon Knight costumes. The first part of the serie was really interesting and I was really looking forward to see how things would have turned out. Many fight scenes have not great montages (not to mention how the last one is handled), most side characters are badly written or totally lacked presentation, some things that happen on screen do not have sense. Especially the last fight is definitely underwhelming for the way it has been edited and what characters can do for no reason

So, the first three episodes were interesting, after that it was a slow downfall

Starts out very promising but fumbles right at the very end. Oscar Issac gives one of the best performances in the MCU though.
