This is a revival done right. ... The reality is that the show's appeal comes less from any deeper statement on TV culture than from its relatability. There's a little piece of these doofuses in all of us.
-
Even though being smart is back in fashion, Judge reminds us with the first two episodes provided to critics that sometimes it’s okay to hang out on the couch and giggle over nonsense with your buddies. Sometimes, when the real world is giving us such a grave emotional pounding, it’s exactly what you need.

Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head is a grand return to form for the titular idiots on nearly every level. Judge and his new roster of writers find the common ground between retaining the classic formula while contemporizing it for fans young and old.
-
Mike Judge’s Beavis And Butt-Head is more or less the same show that was such a hit in the ’90s. And because it’s about idiots doing dumb things, the funny stuff will always be funny, no matter what decade it is.
-
The result is as funny and proudly stupid as ever, with creator Mike Judge bringing a little more awkward laughter (Heh heh) into the modern world.
-
I don’t know if the new Beavis and Butt-Head will gain any new fans; I don’t know if it was meant to. But I know that old-skool fans of the show will enjoy it.
-
The new Beavis and Butt-Head adventures — two standalone installments per half-hour — are solidly amusing, if rarely remarkable.
