SarahOct 7, 2006Anne Heche has a voice like nails on a blackboard, and her "I'm so cute so please look at me, look at me, LOOK AT ME' performance wears thin after ten minutes. The characters are caricatures, and the writing is thin.

AKnanaSep 15, 2006I generously gave this show a 1 because I like the male characters. The writers, however, have never been to Alaska. We don't have racoons, skunks, Indian reservations or busses to Vancouver (Where it is filmed)!

DianaRSep 15, 2006Please, no more Anne Heche. She is dry and never funny. The writing is cliche and tried. Don't insult our intelligence with a racoon that can steal a wedding dress. And why did she carry it around with her anyway???? Bad acting from Heche and poor writing equals cancellation. 17 of 20 women in my office agree it isn't worth the time.

BuzzCSep 28, 2006Haaaaaated it. My wife and I were both looking forward to this show, and we were both so very dissapointed. Liked a lot of the actors from this show, but their characters were flat. Could this show have ripped off Nothern Exposure any more? And last but not least, Anne Heche is soooo unlikeable. We will be very suprised if this show last two more episodes.

RaisaJJan 31, 2007Could Ane Heche be any more annoying playing the same twitchy anxious self absorbed twit over and over and over again in everything she has ever been in? This was painful to watch except for the good work of Suleka Mathew and John Amos. Maybe yhey could have the Marin character fall though the ice or something and save the show.

With a pleasant blend of quirkiness and charm, this is an M.I.T. we can all get into. [15 Sep 2006, p.68]

It’s really a sentimental looking-for-love show after all, albeit one with a wonderful lead actress who will surely do her best to bring nuance and spark.

A clichéd, cloying show.
