I´ve red a few reviews... Yes it´s the first season and it´s very good. In my opinion the presentation of the main character takes too long more o less 7 episodes. people don´t forgive these .

The only thing it would need is more "iron fist" and less kung fu fights... but in the other hand the choreografi of the fights are the best i´ve saw.

    THks

This is better than the critics are saying, the fight scenes are awesome and while it's quite slow, I wouldn't go so far as to say it ever gets boring. This is a good set up for the defenders.

This is a solid addition to the others, not in the same league but is still easy to watch. The ending leaves a bit to be desired but hopefully will work with others

Great show that stands up there with the rest of marvel Netflix series. Don't listen to the critics go into the show with an open mind and you'll enjoy it.

This show is good, ignore the clueless critics. I find it hilarious that some of the same critics that panned this show gave Luke Cage good or decent reviews when that show was utter garbage. This is probably the 3rd best of the Netflix Marvel shows but its miles ahead of Luke Cage.

This is the best Marvel Series since the KingPin DareDevil one. For sure better than the critically over rated Cage and Jessica Jones. Give it a shot for yourself. The only reason it gets a 9 is because the lead actor is not how I see Danny Rand at all and I've been an Iron Fist fanatic since the Heroes For Hire.

While this may not be the BEST of the 4 Netflix Marvels, it's far from the worst and there's plenty of action scenes to sate your kung-fu addiction. I cannot fathom where the negative reviews for this come from- I have loved all of the Netflix Marvel universe programs and could not wait to watch Iron Fist when I saw it was coming out. I binge watched the hack out of it this weekend and could not stop saying how I thought this was the best one yet!! Can't wait for the Defenders this fall!!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I am not sure what show the critics were watching, but I really feel they missed the mark. Not every character needs to be dark and gritty. Finn Jones nails the combination of earnestness, naivete, and warrior-monk spirit that are Iron Fist. I honestly had no idea that he would get what makes the character so special in the comics. Iron Fist isn't your typical batman/wolverine/daredevil/cage/jessica jones hardcase superhero and should'n't be played as such. Jessica Henwick also is an awesome Colleen Wing as are the Meachums.
The story had me hooked and I actually enjoy the slow boil of the show as Danny finds his place in NY. A few other things I loved about the show:
    1. The very different fighting styles - Danny's style is very internally focused, very different than what we have seen so far in most shows. Tai Chi, Wing Chun. Maybe some Bagua ? . . . very cool mixing up the fighting styles of each Defender.
    2. Homage to the 70's kung fu flicks. Some Heroes of the East in there with the Japanese vs. Chinese styles as well as others . . .
    3. Some great character placement from the comics. Loved seeing the Netflix take on Bride of Nine Spiders . .
At any rate - I was seriously worried after reading the early reviews - I am SO glad I went to watch it myself.

With Iron First, the obvious choice is Steel Serpent, who I think we're no doubt going to see in the second season. The pacing of Iron Fist was a little frustrating at times. Of course there are something's that could be better yea, but hey your not going to please everybody. ( I Will update my review once I've completed the season)

The critics were unnecessarily harsh for this show. While not revolutionary, or even necessarily as good as other Marvel Netflix shows, Iron Fist is by no means a disaster. It is very enjoyable, fun, and the action is pretty good. The show has been criticized and universally panned for whitewashing, which is unfair as the source material features a white man as well. The characters are simply stupid, though I suppose that is an accurate portrayal of modern day executives and political leaders... but it does not make for good television. When I see politicians do boneheaded things, I dont get interested, I get frustrated and in many ways I felt the same while watching this. I just could not understand any of the decisions made, and certainly everyone in the show deserved to die a painful horrible death for being such lousy thinkers.

Does this show make use of the Magical Asian TV trope? Yes. Can the frequent references to general eastern religions seem like a college kid who thinks yoga is the answer to the world's problems? Yes. But these issues do not ruin the show.

I enjoyed getting to know Danny Rand in this show. I think the show actually does try to critique his position of privilege as a billionaire and a kid without a lot of emotional maturity. He is the Iron Fist, but his masters don't seem to have wanted him to deal with his issues of loss, grief and identity (plus a pretty bad case of PTSD); rather, they only wanted to use him as a warrior to protect their realm. As in Daredevil, the Hand reveal themselves as the other side of the hero's coin -- except here, the Hand is far more subtle, realistic and understandable, with Bakuto as a somewhat idealistic if communist-leaning leader, willing to teach Danny important techniques his own masters neglected. I love the leading women of the show, including Claire, Colleen, Jeri and Joy. Madame Gao is also very fun to watch! I hope from now on, Marvel and Netflix pay more attention to justice issues in casting; that said, the show as it exists is good enough that I am watching it through for a second time. Expand

This is very odd from the critics. It may not be better than daredevil Season 1 & 2 but it definitely beats Luke Cage and Jessica Jones.
