Summary: The rare TV show to feature an African-American superhero, the Sam Raimi-produced MANTIS aired for one season on Fox. Carl Lumbly stars as Dr. Miles Hawkins, who, paralyzed after being accidentally shot during a riot, develops an Iron Man-like exoskeleton that gives him superhuman powers, which he uses to operate as a vigilante.
