The show’s balance of the bizarre and the mundane may be at its sharpest yet this season, but it also hasn’t lost its bite.

The third season of Man Seeking Woman proves that man finding woman only opens more doors for the writing staff and continues to make the series one of the funniest on TV and certainly among the most imaginative.

Man Seeking Woman is a bit like the Black Mirror of rom coms. Even with the new season’s consistent story arc, each episode is laser-focused on a single issue at hand, and ties together with a thought-provoking, hilarious ending (okay so maybe not 100% the same as Black Mirror).

It’s startling and impressive how quickly Lucy becomes so central to everything--and how easily Findlay steps into such a prominent role on such a peculiar, funny show.

Like many an episode, it has a way of unexpectedly disarming you with the way man and woman arrive as if by abstract accident at a place of mutual understanding, and the effect is almost cosmic in its good-heartedness.

It is extremely intellectual, the not well versed will probably not understand its intricacies as the show explores a modern young urban man's romantic experiences and uses references to expand the episode's focal issue. If Albert Einstein and Larry David had a baby and that baby grew up and created a show, pitched it to FX...Is that what happened here? Can you imagine how Jonestown might be used as a reference to explain relationship dynamics in a man's romantic life, you probably can now that I've said it. It's brilliant!!! Full Review »

Really amazing how they made a huge change but managed to keep what made unique (and good) this show.

I only hope they find more ways to keep this show interesting for long time because there is nothing else like this on TV.
