One of the funniest shows I have ever seen. It takes situations that everyone has been in and completely over exaggerates them to the point of maximum hilarity.

Going into it blindly, the first episode was OK.. weird and not what I expected, but left me wondering where it would go in following episodes. OK, now I get it. One cliche after another, to the extreme and literal as possibly can be - but in a college dorm humor funny sort of way. It isn't great or incredibly original, but it is funny and a lot better than most crap on mainstream TV theseGoing into it blindly, the first episode was OK.. weird and not what I expected, but left me wondering where it would go in following episodes. As absurd as this show can be I find my self relating to the main character more than I would like to admit which makes the show strangely difficult to watch.

Tries to be different and takes 'literal' situations to a whole 'nother level.
This sh%t gets my d#ck hard, and then, like a rolling pin, I bake delicious treats for me and my jabrony pals as we sit down and clank our rolling pins together and watch this show. Makes for a good time.

If this were a regular sitcom about a man trying to find a woman after a break-up from a long term relationship, I wouldn’t even care to watch it. But it had a certain twist that made me watch this show in which the man’s (let’s call him Josh as he is the main character) first blind date after his break-up was a literal troll. Like, a bridge female troll. I am not kidding.

That kind of concept is either a hit or a miss but the funny surrealistic humor in this show executed the concept very well done.

I liked how this season had a plot arc in which Josh tries to move on from his now ex-girlfriend despite its non-linear timeline. Of course, the liberal surrealistic humor in this show is what makes this show so entertaining to watch.

If you want to see something new on the rom-com sitcom genre, Man Seeking Woman is the show to watch!

In the pilot, Josh goes on a date with an actual troll, meets his ex-gf's new boyfriend Adolf Hitler, and wins a prestigious award for asking a random girl out on a date. It is as ridiculous as it sounds and it all is very funny.

Man Seeking Woman is a perfect vehicle for its star Jay Baruchel and is highly recommended.

Funny and precise, Man Seeking Woman confronts the real world of dating with outlandish situations that we all feel internally. We've all had dates where the person we are meeting turns out to have the mannerisms of a troll. Well in this comedy series, Josh goes on a date with an actual troll. Needless to say it doesn't end well. Afterwards he meets his ex-girlfriend....who is dating Hitler. Not like a complete jerk or a neo-nazi, no, this is the 126 year old, leader of of the Germans. The show does well to bring the actual things we fear and hate and love about dating from our mind into our existence in a way that is neither preach nor boring. I am seroisously looking forward to upcoming episodes. Expand

The amazing use of symbolism is what makes the show awesome. The ex's boyfriend becomes Hitler, the homely date becomes a troll, the sadness from the loss of a relationship seems like the weather is always bad, and finally an introverts elation when he asks a girl out for the first time.

Finally a show that COULD become my new 'Arrested Development'.

Great concept. Original and fresh for television. Excited to see where it goes from here and how far they can take the surreal symbolism aspects. This one looks to be a fun one. Giving an "8" with room to grow during season. My gut says this is going to deliver.

We all can relate to Josh in a way, seeking you're a man. This show is wacky, inconsistent and is all over the place, and that's what it's aiming for, and it works.

For weirdos such as myself this is pure comedy gold. The more out there the jokes are the funnier it gets, and though not every episode is funny, there's always a constant flow of fresh ideas and incite.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I must admit the first episode I wasn't feeling the show the troll blind date and the ex girlfriend new boyfriend being hitler I could take it or leave the show without watching another episode with the the extra extremes being part of the humor. But after watching the second episode the extreme exaggerations were on point just hilarious moment after another. This show isnt for those who dont like the envelope being pushed . The exorcism of the old gf possessions was hilarious than getting the date advice from national defense was off the chain. When the general said send Jk text I nearly fell off the couch. Worth checking out if looking for some a different take on relationship comedy rel com or whatever. Expand

Loving this show. One of the best shows on tv today. A Insightful, intelligent and hilarious take on the utter hypocrisy and idiocy in todays dating arena. Kudos to Jay and the cast as well as the writers. In my opinion, each episode strengthens the series. Definitely on my watching schedule.

This is a very funny show. Jay Baruchel and Eric Andre play off each other very well and the way the show blends fantasy and real life is hilarious. I binge watched the fist season and I don't regret a minute of it.

It's extremely fun to see Jay Baruchel's character succeed and even more so when He doesn't.His Sister on the show is equally as interesting as the episodes with her alone are just as funny but just shown in the eyes of A Woman.Eric Andre makes the perfect Male best friend always trying to get Jay's character drunk and laid and their struggles when they do or don't.

All the characters like I said are well introduced and belong perfectly that particular universe and along with Jay's daydreams and his ordinary struggles as An average Male in modern society makes this show truly A future classic in my book at least.

Man Seeking Woman is a rare and unique comedy, but raises the bar so high with its initial episodes that it will have to work extra hard to keep up this pace.

Intriguing but unsatisfying.... The sketches aren’t thought out well enough; the lead, Jay Baruchel, lacks presence on-screen; and the drama lacks stakes. But above all, what struck me is that it’s a story that we’ve seen a thousand times.

In the three episodes I’ve seen, the literalization of Josh’s subconscious fears, hopes, and dreams works pretty well. The show is rarely laugh-out-loud funny, but it’s always engrossing and smart.
