One of the funniest shows I have ever seen. It takes situations that everyone has been in and completely over exaggerates them to the point of maximum hilarity.

As absurd as this show can be I find my self relating to the main character more than I would like to admit which makes the show strangely difficult to watch.

Tries to be different and takes 'literal' situations to a whole 'nother level.
This sh%t gets my d#ck hard, and then, like a rolling pin, I bake delicious treats for me and my jabrony pals as we sit down and clank our rolling pins together and watch this show. Makes for a good time.

If this were a regular sitcom about a man trying to find a woman after a break-up from a long term relationship, I wouldn’t even care to watch it. But it had a certain twist that made me watch this show in which the man’s (let’s call him Josh as he is the main character) first blind date after his break-up was a literal troll. That kind of concept is either a hit or a miss but the funny surrealistic humor in this show executed the concept very well done.

I liked how this season had a plot arc in which Josh tries to move on from his now ex-girlfriend despite its non-linear timeline. Of course, the liberal surrealistic humor in this show is what makes this show so entertaining to watch.

If you want to see something new on the rom-com sitcom genre, Man Seeking Woman is the show to watch!

Do not like it at all. Painful to watch due to the many weird effects, mostly not funny and just awful! Even when there is nothing else on TV I would never ever watch this.

It is as ridiculous as it sounds and it all is very funny.

Man Seeking Woman is a perfect vehicle for its star Jay Baruchel and is highly recommended.

Needless to say it doesn't end well. Afterwards he meets his ex-girlfriend....who is dating Hitler. Not like a complete jerk or a neo-nazi, no, this is the 126 year old, leader of of the Germans. The show does well to bring the actual things we fear and hate and love about dating from our mind into our existence in a way that is neither preach nor boring. The amazing use of symbolism is what makes the show awesome. The ex's boyfriend becomes Hitler, the homely date becomes a troll, the sadness from the loss of a relationship seems like the weather is always bad, and finally an introverts elation when he asks a girl out for the first time.

Finally a show that COULD become my new 'Arrested Development'.

Great concept. Original and fresh for television. Excited to see where it goes from here and how far they can take the surreal symbolism aspects. This one looks to be a fun one. Giving an "8" with room to grow during season. My gut says this is going to deliver.

We all can relate to Josh in a way, seeking you're a man. This show is wacky, inconsistent and is all over the place, and that's what it's aiming for, and it works.

A really smart, original premise... unfortunately just not executed well. It doesn't need to be laugh out loud funny, which the show isn't, but in place of laughs the show should really be using the high-concept premise of big outlandish symbols to highlight the dangers/successes/emotions of being a young person out in the dating world. It doesn't need to be laugh out loud funny, which the show isn't, but in place of laughs the show should really be using the high-concept premise of big outlandish symbols to highlight the dangers/successes/emotions of being a young person out in the dating world. But the world's unclear and inconsistent -- a date's literally Hitler, and Hitler did exist as we know him, so the main character's not crazy to think that's a terrible date if Hitler is never shown to be remorseful or to have changed. It's supposed to be a symbol for how everyone else can be cool but you can see your ex's new boyfriend as the worst person possible, but it doesn't quite line up if you are actually right. Same with the troll -- nothing remotely redeemable was shown about the troll (she doesn't even talk), so it's actually pretty understandable that he would hate that date. Of course, that leaves the possibility that she was talking and she's representing solely what he saw of the date... but again, that's where the world gets muddled and inconsistent. Using symbolism shouldn't remove all responsibility and agency for the main character.

And again, while it's not totally necessary, it'd be nice if the show were at all funny. Baruchel and Andre are great, though.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I can't believe this show is getting positive reviews at all with people blabbering about how it reflects the real dating world and is so close to actual dating life ... Is this the new Social Media generation having delusions like that? Generation Y? Generation Z??

Generation BS would probably fit best. How this show can have about 4:1 positive vote ratio here is beyond me and has me worried for today's human intelligence. This show is so far away from real life: Contrived, absolutely moronic storylines laced with tacky and often extremely tasteless humor.

Not even talking about getting set up on a date with an actual troll-woman who's living under a bridge and prowling dumpsters (yes this sort of storytelling obviously depicts the "real" dating world in the mind of a lot of people) but what I found most disgusting is that the Ex of the loser Protagonist is dating Adolf Hitler at the beginning of the show.

Besides the sheer stupidity of this storyline (irl he was born 1889, but sure, one meets 127 year old guys (of course dating 20somethings on top of it) every day - And of course he hid in Argentina for all those years in the show's universe) this is just so disgusting: Trying to get a few cheap chuckles depicting a hateful psychopath whose sick ideology got millions of people killed as a nice old, friendly man, everybody wants to be buddies with.

But of course that doesn't matter. What's humanity and basic common decency against some totally bad jokes with the greatest mass murderer in human history. Maybe this would even be bearable if this show just wasn't such a contrived mess. Adults finding this horrible piece of cr*p humorous should be embarrassed.

Horrible, disgusting, contrived, unreal, massively unfunny show. Save your valuable life time and give this one a pass.

Total miss. Tries to hard to be absurd and just makes it completely unfunny. The obviousness of the absurdities also make it fail completely. Treats the viewers as if they are complete idiots which can't understand anything but spelled out boredom.

For weirdos such as myself this is pure comedy gold. The more out there the jokes are the funnier it gets, and though not every episode is funny, there's always a constant flow of fresh ideas and incite.

I must admit the first episode I wasn't feeling the show the troll blind date and the ex girlfriend new boyfriend being hitler I could take it or leave the show without watching another episode with the the extra extremes being part of the humor. But after watching the second episode the extreme exaggerations were on point just hilarious moment after another. This show isnt for those who dont like the envelope being pushed . The exorcism of the old gf possessions was hilarious than getting the date advice from national defense was off the chain. When the general said send Jk text I nearly fell off the couch. Worth checking out if looking for some a different take on relationship comedy rel com or whatever. Expand

Loving this show. One of the best shows on tv today. A Insightful, intelligent and hilarious take on the utter hypocrisy and idiocy in todays dating arena. Kudos to Jay and the cast as well as the writers. In my opinion, each episode strengthens the series. Definitely on my watching schedule.

It's extremely fun to see Jay Baruchel's character succeed and even more so when He doesn't.His Sister on the show is equally as interesting as the episodes with her alone are just as funny but just shown in the eyes of A Woman.Eric Andre makes the perfect Male best friend always trying to get Jay's character drunk and laid and their struggles when they do or don't.

All the characters like I said are well introduced and belong perfectly that particular universe and along with Jay's daydreams and his ordinary struggles as An average Male in modern society makes this show truly A future classic in my book at least.

Intriguing but unsatisfying.... The sketches aren’t thought out well enough; the lead, Jay Baruchel, lacks presence on-screen; and the drama lacks stakes. But above all, what struck me is that it’s a story that we’ve seen a thousand times.

In the three episodes I’ve seen, the literalization of Josh’s subconscious fears, hopes, and dreams works pretty well. The show is rarely laugh-out-loud funny, but it’s always engrossing and smart.
