    This continues to be a show for those who aren't interested in a sophisticated look at foreign policy or the inner workings of government. It's like a coloring book for teens who don't want to read the New York Times or watch Fareed Zakaria. Do they really think our State Department and White House are run by newly minted Graduate Students?     "Madame Secretary" opened with a great episode that was well paced, included some humor and set in motion plenty of season-long drama. This show was one of the strongest from last year and has developed into one of the better dramas on network TV.

    Great characters and very topical. Interesting look at balancing diplomacy and morality. Based on reviews from season 1, strongly negative ratings appear to be from angry right-wing types. That's their right, but if you're open-minded, give this show a try--it's excellent.
