Jan 26, 2016Awful, Awful, Awful, and so disappointing. I held out hope this might be a modern fantasy worth watching.
I do so love the genre, which deepened our disappointment. It WAS beyond awful! I won't even waste your or my time with this piece of &*^%$#@ -
May 28, 2016i hate this show. I see no reason why the other users are giving this a positive reception. If you ask me, this show completely lacks and depth or backstory, and just tries to be funny when it isn't.

Feb 1, 2016The premise of the show was one with promise: The Lord of Hell visiting the streets of LA, solving crimes, etc. But so far it's been dull. Sure, there's neat stuff going on but it fails to engage the viewer. Tom Ellis' smart-ass portrayal of Satan is entertaining for the first 20 minutes, but soon becomes an annoying attempt to rehash the same jokes about how he's the devil.

Feb 3, 2016Really bad! Poor choice of a series and it's content for FOX or anyone else involved. Episode 2 was also unwatchable. Shame ! Never again in my home. When can we have some decent comedies to watch?

The show’s supporting players--in particular, D.B. Woodside’s Amenadiel, sent down from Heaven to insist Lucifer go back from where he came, Rachael Harris as Lucifer’s shrink, and Lesley-Ann Brandt as Maze, Lucifer’s ass-kicking assistant--hint at the possibility of a more interesting show (as does a closing twist in “Favorite Son”). Until or unless the show’s writing staff digs down and explore those darker instincts, however, Lucifer feels stuck in creative purgatory.

Here's the uncomfortable truth about Lucifer the series: It's just too damnably familiar. [1-14 Feb 2016, p.19]

Lucifer is the most accessible [of the twoshows--the other being Syfy's "The Magicians"], mostly because it feels as if we've already seen it before. And we have, one way or another; "Lucifer" feels a bit as if Syfy's fallen-angel drama "Dominion" mated with ABC's "Castle."
