    This show makes no sense whatsoever. I always say that you should get your facts straight and embellish as necessary. Same thing with a television show. Any fictional universe needs to lay the ground rules for what can and can't happen in that universe. Sometimes those rules need to be broken, but that requires a reason why and an explanation of how.     So I started watching it when it started coming out on DVD so I wouldn't have to wait (yes I started at season 1 and went through almost 3 seasons) but I came to find, this show doesn't even make **** sense. It's hard to follow and irritating enough as it is but having to wait for it....not happening. I would have watched 1 or maybe 2 episodes and been done.     This show was a major letdown. While it starts off pretty good and sets some pretty interesting storylines they truly go nowhere with poor answers overall.
    A lot of episodes are needless fillers that lead to poor results.
    I gotta give it to the actors as they seem to be the driving force of the show. Some of the character arcs are pretty good but that's it.     Overall "Lost" ain't for anyone, it might surprise some people and it will heavily disappoint others. Unfortunately for it the latter outweighs the good due to the episodes dragging pointlessly, raising interesting questions and being answered poorly.

    I like how they show you the characters lives before they crashed but the first season does not have much action.

    It's safe to say you've not seen anything like it on network television. And not to put too fine a point on it, but the shock does wear off after a few minutes. [22 Sept 2004, p.F3]
