Mainly because I found it to be an extremely rigid drama. Completely limited by the social parameters the story was exploring. None of the characters have any substantial development because they're all prototypes of an exact way of being, because they're like pawns that can't afford to break out of that mold. Needless to say, the plot grants them little to do. Little Fires Everywhere builds a story over the course of 8 episodes that is basically a boiling pot, and the only thing you have to wait for is when it explodes. The path it takes is so conventional and unsurprising that neither Reese Witherspoon nor Kerry Washington can alter the predictability of its course. Expand

This show was a frustrating watch. Great performances for the most part but characters often behaved in a somewhat outlandish and dramatic manner to justify the story. I also found the ending ‘twist’ laughable and really undermined the series.

I can believe Reese Witherspoon was attached to it. Kerry Washington is not a good actor, limited range beyond Scandal and it showed in this performance. She made odd faces while trying to appear...something. Rosemarie Dewitt is great as usual and the supporting kids were strong too. Only watch this in the background while you are doing something else. Oh and the soundtrack was super cliche. Expand

Witherspoon saves an otherwise whiner festival. The story gets some savage, interesting moments; yet, mostly in relation to the always good Washington, there's too much gooders.

Predictable series and at times a rather hard slog.
Witherspoon plays an extension of her character of Big Little Lies while Kerry Washington seems to be going through the motions.
Okay but could of been better.
