This started out strong and then at about episode 6 it started to tank. I enjoyed the fact that there wasn't a bunch of cgi and that the general weirdness was used to carry the main theme. I had an idea of what was going to happen after episode 8 and I wanted to be wrong, but I wasn't. I have to say that I took off points because I knew how it was going to end and that the ending is superThis started out strong and then at about episode 6 it started to tank. I have to say that I took off points because I knew how it was going to end and that the ending is super stupid and lazy. Other than that, all the actors did a fine job with what they had. This went from an 8 to a 5 and that is mostly because of the last three episodes. Expand

The key to this series lies in it's tone, and it's ability to create tension through well-crafted cliffhangers.
The story has enough intrigue to draw you in, and the subtle and moody performance of Biel makes this worth a view.

Limetown is tosh of the highest quality. It has touches of Wayward Pines, second-tier X-Files episodes and that thing I can’t remember the name of but they all woke up in a hotel with no idea how they got there and unable to leave.

To the extent that Limetown has a point (other than whatever corporate perfidy ultimately turns out to be responsible for what happened), it seems to be that the 24-hour news cycle has so scrambled Americans' brains and scarred their souls that even the most profound tragedies have been forgotten by the weekend.

Limetown is an easy binge in terms of its cliffhangers and ability to create a weird enough mystery to want to know the truth behind it. But it’s also a slow, dark crime story that focuses only on the crime itself, to the detriment of getting to know its characters better, or any possible hint of lightness that would make us want to stay in Limetown long enough to get answers.
