Carrey es el actor perfecto para interpretar este papel, encuentro la serie intensa, si esperas ver comedia barata no es para ti, si deseas emociones crudas y mas drama no puedes pasar de ella. se ha vuelto una de mis series favoritas.

I enjoyed watching first 8 episodes. Great opportunity to show that Carrey is not only a slapstick comedy actor but can play also in serious comedy drama. The series are great from the psychological point of view depicting "kind christian person" trying to be good to each and everyone from one side and toxic, hostile environment from the other side.

The first season of Showtime's Kidding sometimes struggles to find it's footing, but it is anchored by an incredible performance from Jim Carrey. It was like watching a Mr. Rogers who is beholden to his father's profit driven studio, and also he has deep seated anger issues. Three words to describe this show would be: unconventional, but enjoyable. Expand

Very good movie! Jim Carrey is incomparable. Although initially, it was difficult to see it in this image. But without him, this film would not have taken place!

It gets better with every episode. Deals with emotions and feelings in a deeper unconventional way. Kudos to Carrey.

This won't appeal to everyone, especially those expecting Jim Carrey's manic humor, but to me it is brilliant TV, a comedy/drama that is both dark and perceptive with frequent laughs to brighten the mood. Carrey and Frank Langella head an excellent cast that I expect will draw Emmy attention next year.

Carrey is no stranger to portraying these kinds of characters which is slightly reminiscent of Hank in 'Me Myself & Irene' where his kind and normal self is suppressing the cruelty given to him by the world around him.
In 'Kidding' the seldom shock scenes in nearly each episode make for engaging interest and show that the writers have no fear in testing how far or wild this ride could go

The cast is good but these are roles that can be played by a lot of actors, whereas Carrey is really carrying the show taking on yet another role that's got some good exercise in it for him.

Best show ever. Jim Carry will definitely win an Emmy. Such good writing and the perfect cast. Carry should stick to serious roles. He is amazing. Even the young kids on the show are great actors.
"Hate doesn't hurt who you think it does" OMG.. such good writing and acting. I can't wait for the next episode.

How is this show barely past a 60 overall score? The cast is brilliant, Especially Carrey, Langella and Keener. And what I like most about it is that the comedy isn't predictable, There are so many well-planned setups for punchlines that come later on and when they hit, they hit hard. I've laughed out loud many times watching the first two episodes and I don't do that often.

O elenco é brilhante, especialmente Carrey, Langella e Keener. O que mais me impressiona é a comédia insana, imprevisível e excitante. As histórias envoltas das personagens estão bem trabalhadas e tudo parece estar a correr bem. Pode ser que "Kidding" brilhe ainda mais em 2019.

It is clear in its first episode that both Jim and Gondry wanted to explore a complex character, that being both: Mr. Pickles and Jeff. These two personalities that are contained in the body of Carrey, where he does an outstanding display of the two beings; it is clear that these two fictional entities are close to Carrey's current life status, as there is a subtle conflict slowing brewing in this first episode that accentuates how an amazing and underrated dramatic actor Carrey is. That, coupled with the excellent and unpredictable writing of Dave Holstein, that has an anatomy of existential storytelling inhabited in its DNA, highlights the turbulent, chaotic, and wholly unpredictable world that is displayed In 'Kidding' through the eyes of Jeff/Mr. Pickles. Which, its subtly unique cinematography and lighting, that seems like the whole episode was shot in a theatre; possibly emphasizing the concept that we're all in a stage play called life, filled with its unpredictability and uncertainty of the future, where we are awaiting for our denouement (death). However, I just wished we delved a bit more into Carrey's character ; just getting an additional amount of complexity, conflict, and pathos, but I'm certain that they'll do that in the following episodes. Jeff, aka Mr. Pickles, is an icon of children's television, a beacon of kindness and wisdom to America's impressionable young minds; when his family begins to implode, Jeff finds that no fairy tale, fable or puppet can guide him through the crisis. https://fetlife.vip/ https://imvu.onl/ https://canva.onl/

Langella is a master of deadpan comic timing as Seb. ... Greer is equally wonderful as Jill, who tells Jeff being married to Mr. Pickles is like being Mrs. Santa Claus. Nobody cares about Mrs. Claus! And then there’s Jeff/Mr. Pickles, and what a pair they make. ... Carrey is brilliant.

None of this plays as interesting or funny as it sounds on the printed page. Carrey's Mr. Pickles is tortuously unappealing, a smiley-faced drip in need of a hard slapping. And Mr. Pickles' Puppet Time itself is on the screen, it's light years past unbearable.

Kidding is taking audiences down a rabbit hole of emotions that’s as dotted with clever dialogue and sharp acting as it is with philosophical inquiry. Meaning that it’s worth getting lost inside Mr. Pickles’s brain as he figures out what the world has in store for him.
