    Kell isn't Miranda, through no fault of her own. At day's end, Kell on Earth feels a little like a knockoff.

    Those hoping to see a focus on fashion may be disappointed, but the show has one very strong element in its favor: Surprisingly likable taskmaster/boss Kelly Cutrone, head of the PR firm People’s Revolution, is the glue that holds the chintz together.

    Kell on Earth doesn’t demystify the fashion world so much as try to pump up the mystique. It’s a stretch at times, but it does explain who all those haughty people are who crowd the Breslin Bar.
