This leads to the inevitable environment and survival challenges. Unfortunately, the filmmakers thought it would be more impactful if they spent more than half the time in flashbacks. These are supposed to flesh out the character's emotional journey, but they add more tedium than anything. The endurance ordeals sometimes push credibility or coincidence, but there is a decent trek to be appreciated. Ultimately, this could have been a solid thriller as a 2-hour feature, but the addition of the past memories dilutes most of the suspense. Its concept has very little traction and its dramatic exploration is repetitive and flawed.

The first episode is great and pulled me in. Gave me castaway vibes. After that though the show spends far too long on unimportant flashbacks that have no relevance to the main story.
