Summary: Kappa Mikey is a parody of Japanese anime. Mikey Simon is a teenage actor from Cleveland, Ohio who wins a scratch-off card contest and a trip to Japan to star in the country's formerly popular anime series, "LilyMu." As a result, the show becomes number one in the ratings, and Mikey becomes Japan's biggest anime star. The show focusesKappa Mikey is a parody of Japanese anime. Kappa Mikey was the first original series made for Nicktoons (Nicktoons Network at the time) & is simply the best original programming they've made for the channel. The concept of the show is quite interesting, american animation meets anime, and is something that is even used as a runningKappa Mikey was the first original series made for Nicktoons (Nicktoons Network at the time) & is simply the best original programming they've made for the channel. The concept of the show is quite interesting, american animation meets anime, and is something that is even used as a running gag in the show (example: When Mikey tries to do the anime style expressions which often use a bigger head & smaller body, he can't). If you're a fan of anime, you'll find this show has inspiration for different things bu, but most commonly characters, from many great anime shows including Shin Chan, Cowboy Bebop & more. The humor seems to be mostly american, with a few bits of japanese humor, but is hilarious nonetheless. This show sadly seems to be one of many great shows cancelled after only two seasons & ended on a rather weird, but still funny note with a finale that parodied The Wizard Of Oz. This show is highly underrated & is one of the shows that Nickelodeon appears to refuse to admit was great.… Expand
