JJ demonstrated the very real complaint of systemic racism by her abhorrent performance. JJ suggested the young man/his parents used a failed communication of authorizing officials as an excuse on not knowing a specific situation. I submit that her interpretation is colored with unconscious bias, societal blindness, and a pathetic lack of awareness for the pervasive burden people like her have imposed upon African Americans. This episode of JJ was shameful as I watched in disgust by her obvious unwillingness to see the obligation of authorities to communicate as a matter a human right. She seemed to codon the unreasonable interrogation of the 12-year-old African American boy. Additionally, JJ’s blind bias is a clear example of what happens to the innocent when their civil liberty is overlooked. Following the facts, it was clear, the middle schooler found an item, attempt to find the owner, and was bullied into giving up the phone to the bully. JJ who undoubtful lives in another world – assumed the middle schoolers parents had some miracle access to the bully’s parents. Further demonstrated was a plaintiff (white male) who did not bring forward the potentially violent bully but decided to aggressively go after the intact law-abiding family. This case made me feel like Judge’s Judy’s fairness reputation is indeed a Fraud; where her judgment is colored by unconscious race bias. Expand
