With well respected series such as Doctor Who and Sherlock on his CV writer Steven Moffat has made a name for himself by taking well know characters and putting them in a modern day setting and Jekyll is yet another example of that. At the time of writing I haven’t watched enough of either of the aforementioned Moffat shows to make any comparisons but judged on its own merits this is certainly a fairly entertaining piece of drama. James Nesbitt is as watchable as ever in the title role helping the show to maintain a good balance between drama and dark comedy and as a result most people will be able to overlook the fact that everything doesn’t quite fit together neatly, as well as other minor issues such as the selection of terrible American accents on show.
