In the NFC, the 49ers made quick work of the NFC Central Champion Vikings 41-13 thanks to a great 49ers running game led by Roger Craig and his 125 yards rushing. The Rams won yet another road game, this time defeating the heavily favored Giants 19-13 in overtime, where the Rams only needed 1 possession to defeat Big Blue. NFC West rivals will meet in the NFC Championship game for the second time this decade, last won by the 49ers.
