I may have a bias toward USA's "character driven" shows, but I enjoyed "In Plain Sight", just like I enjoy Monk, Psych, and Burn Notice. It's fun to have a female US Marshall tool around Albuquerque, and the stories in the premiere episode felt real. The dog days of summer reruns are a long-buried memory. We get good stuff now. I'm happy.

It is great. Even though she seems a litlte flaky, it's very real, it gives her a realistic feel.

This show got better with almost every episode. I'm even starting to like de la Fuente's stiff-as-a-board character. I think it will settle in as a pretty great show after time. As to the plots... just think about some of the insane things that have happened on other workplace dramas like ER or Grey's. It's TV. Mary McCormack is great. Although the pilot left a lot to be desired, really opening no new ground, the interplay between charactors was great. The storyline is also very interesting.

Show was a nothing. Little plot, no action, no interesting fights, uninteresting characters, and not even good scenery. Really poor. You lost this viewer.

I would say better then that CBS msihap CSINY, the writing on that showmis horrific, but not as good as Numb3rs. I like Marys character, but the show does need better writing and less predictability. I must say there is some chemistry between Mary's and Marshalls character. When we don't even sit through an entire episode, you know we hated something, because usually we try to allow shows to find their rhythm. But this one's tone-deaf and flat-footed, and life's too short to watch execrable TV, even for Mary McCormack, whom I loved in "Broken Hearts Club".

Mary McCormack is drowning in this show! Her talent is wasted with the listless scripts, the very unfunny characters and the awful supporting cast. Put the show out of its misery.

Not the greatest I've seen, but I certainly enjoy it and make a point of watching.

I have enjoyed the shows so far, although the writing could stand a bit of improvement. The characters are engaging and the banter is enjoyable.

It's alright for the weekly hour of a show, but not as good as burn notice. I hope that later episodes will be better.

Great partners and interesting stories make for fun viewing. The sophisticated banter in the icing on the cake but it's probably over the heads of a lot of viewers. Mom and sis add nothing, however.

The characters blend well. The story is pretty average but is made up but excellent characters, and actors. I enjoy the conversations they have. Action is abound in this show and is a nice change of pace. McCormack is a strong woman but isn't an overbearing or a feminist.

Could be a good show, but relegates stars to typical Hollywood dysfunctional characters. Nothing redeeming about current story plots. Predict short life w/o major rewrite. Too bad. I was a deputy US Marshal and know how interesting this program could be-challenging Law & Order.

This shows main attraction is that being about WITSEC, it is therefore not a procedural. The witnesses themselves are just so uninteresting and there is no real sense of threat against them or end goal. Mary's attitude is 'lets babysit this scumbag who I hate but have to protect for my job until they become someone else's problem'. It also shows Mary's family like which is just boring. The show is not funny like many people have said although there are identifiable moments when it attempts to be funny. This shows premise gives it the opportunity to be more action based and serious and have the bad guys actually attacking the witnesses but it blew it. Expand

In Plain Sight is another attempt at mixing the jokey and the serious within a loose procedural format. But Sight’s writing is distressingly predictable, and McCormack’s character is the least interesting thing about the show.
  2. Apart from its New Mexico setting and its witness protection angle, little stands out here. Stories are less than suspenseful and characters are mainly two-dimensional.
  3. In Plain Sight is a definite for any summer TV To-Watch list; don't cross it off until you've seen at least one.
