Season 1 Review: The characters still act like “ding-dongs,” but there are good laughs and clever moments throughout. Packing all the nostalgia of the original series with more matured themes. The absence of Sam is very prominent but she was written off the show in a lovely way that is very onbrand for her character. The jokes are a hit or miss, but this can be attributed to the show still trying toIcarly

Packing all the nostalgia of the original series with more matured themes. The absence of Sam is very prominent but she was written off the show in a lovely way that is very onbrand for her character.
The jokes are a hit or miss, but this can be attributed to the show still trying to find its footing. Spencer is still funny, campy and extra as ever.
The acting is also good, especially with how the cast effortlessly bring the youth of their former days and the maturity of where they are now. The new characters also blend well into the show, especially if you give them time.

The second season continues in stride, picking up from where the first one ends immediately. There's also a lot of potential as it continues. Seeing as how the third season will focus on the will they won't they story between Carly and Freddie, a lot of excitement is promised.
