There are some brilliant sketches in here, don't get me wrong... there were just so many that weren't on the same level as others. Cringe overshadowed the comedy. I'd say its worth a watch (especially the first few episodes) but your enjoyment will heavily rely on your type of humor.

There were some sketches that were pretty good - usually the shorter ones. The problem here is the unwillingness for a sketch to switch directions for comedy's sake and hoping that hammering a joke into the ground will carry it. There's a lot of bathroom humor which ranges from funny to "ok, we get it." Tim is probably a funny guy but he needs more collaborators to help him rewrite and revise the clunkiness of this almost-functioning sketch show. Expand

At only 2 hours this immensely bingable sketch show debuts a new voice in comedy that changes the way you look at comedy itself.

Like many sketch shows I think You Should Leave can be very hit or miss. I don't think it is quite consistent enough to really rank amongst the greats. However, due to each episode's short running time, it never really feels like a drag. It's sort of perfect for when you find yourself with 20-30 mins with nothing to do. It’s grotesque, provocative and postmodern (and ever so pleased with itself). And it pushes the concept of “comedy” to the absolute limit. In the process, Robinson has created a show that is strange and broken – and ultimately quite joyless.

In eight absurdist episodes, Robinson and a collection of guest performers (including Will Forte, Vanessa Bayer, Tim Heidecker, Sam Richardson, and many other very funny people) ruin parties, befoul bathrooms, disgrace funerals, post inappropriately on Instagram, and make their co-workers miserable. All of this lunacy is a delight unto itself, and the show mocks higher ambitions toward moral commentary.

The first season can be consumed in an hour and 40 minutes, making it a reasonable length for a feature film and an ideal timeframe for short-form comedy. “I Think You Should Leave” won’t be for everyone, but it’s going to be a few subscribers’ new favorite show--just as Ted Sarandos intended.
