As long as you can deal with the fact that there isn’t a single convincing person here, it’s pleasingly escapist.

As a murder mystery, it is also somewhat overcrowded and underbaked – potential motives are so jumbled by everything else that's going on that they begin to feel a little redundant. But as a character study and a family drama, it works, with enough twists and turns to keep thing interesting.
