Aug 1, 2015If only the writers did not give up on this show, during the last three seasons, we would be talking about a legandary (pun intended) piece of television. All the effort to develop characters, to create suspence...all for nothing.

Jul 19, 2015[For entire series] Very clever both story-wise and comedically not to mention cinematically innovative, especially for a sitcom, but it's again the very likable characters that come to be friends that really makes it. What unravels it is the prolonged resolution to the initial question posed and just too much geek for its own good at the end of the day.

Jul 21, 2014This series started good then lived on the "catch-phrases" for a good five to six filler-seasons and in the end the thing everyone expected in the first place was somehow made to fit the story so far. Who actually remembers a week after watching the finale who the real mother is? Because it's utterly meaningless. Also studio audience annoying as always.

Apr 5, 2014An even worse ending than Lost.
At least the ending of Lost didn't undo the entire show, it was just too vague, this one on the other hand completely destroys the entire show and its whole premise in one fell swoop. Congratulations writers. -
Apr 5, 2014Lazy writing, dull and recurring jokes and scenes, full of cliches and I'm being polite. I didn't think that one season can spoil so much. So many bad choices, one by one. I didn't laughed for a second and almost broke my TV.

Mar 18, 2014I would like to say, that even thou the season started pretty poorly, it really picked up over the past few months. The writing improved and the acting improved!
Thanks Carter Bay and Craig Thomas for an awesome show! -
Mar 17, 2014How I met your mother is coming to an end and its sad. But even when its down to its few last final episodes it never fails to make me laugh and teach me a lesson about life and etc. I wish it will never end,

Feb 25, 2014This season is awful, even painful, to watch. I used to love this show. The first couple of seasons I consider to be some of the funniest of television. But now, all the characters have become parodies of themselves. They are dragging it on for way too long. This season alone has killed the entire series for me. What a shame

Jan 29, 2014Maybe wrong in the beginning (not great idea start the season talking about only the days before the wedding) but now seems to go better and i suppose will be an happy and right ending.
-
Jan 17, 2014seriously i thought season 9 would be a little bit romantic and funny but i m really disappointed by their stories and puns. It's like they are trying to make us laugh but they are failing on a large scale.

Jan 14, 2014Abysmal. Unfunny. 3 years past its sell by date. These are the politest things I can say. I feel like a chump - after investing so much time on this show I have little option but to keep going till its over. If the end wasn't in sight I would have stopped watching this 2 years ago. This is the worst thing in my week.

Jan 2, 2014This is the thing with How I Met Your Mother, it never fails to disappoint you. No matter how ridiculous the storyline is, viewers can't deny the fact that it's enjoyable and truly one of the best comedy shows on TV. The season premiere and the winter finale proof that creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas really know how to end this twisted Teddy Westside story.

There are a number of annoying little things, and a few big ones, sprinkled throughout these two [opening] episodes, but they get the biggest thing of all absolutely right: the Mother.

The series’ cast remains one of the better sitcom ensembles of the past decade.
