This was arguably the worst episode of the show. It was badly paced and just lazily written, and its only saving grace was the great actors.

They replaced the only interesting main character (other than her father) who both also had a very interesting father and daughter bond. With some bland boring copy paste nobody actress and the whole show lost its soul. I actually started becoming mildly enthused for the show around episode 2 but it has jumped the shark. To have 3(!) different actors each for Laenor and Laena and changing the makeup so drastically for Viserys while keeping the same actorsI actually started becoming mildly enthused for the show around episode 2 but it has jumped the shark. To have 3(!) different actors each for Laenor and Laena and changing the makeup so drastically for Viserys while keeping the same actors and makeup for Criston Cole and Daemon is baffling. It's impossible to tell how old anyone is or is supposed to be. The same show that had Paddy Considine next to a little girl to demonstrate age differences now has a Rhaenyra that went from being 10 years younger than Criston Cole to 2 years OLDER than Criston Cole. This is not to mention the pseudo-scientific discussion of genetics repeated in this episode which amounts to an idiot plot. The sole saving grace of the show at this point is that it hasn't gone full Marvel like the last 3 seasons of Game of Thrones, there aren't ninjas teleporting around the world every episode or anyone "kinda forgetting" about entire navies. However, at this point it's considerably closer to being a trainwreck than it is to being the best of Game of Thrones.… Expand

Extremely boring. What a waste of time. I couldn't even finish the episode. The episode takes place 10 years later, after episode 6, yet certain characters didn't age at all and others aged beyond recognition. What an idiotic direction theyExtremely boring. The recasting of some characters and not others is just so strange. This is in Westeros but, this is no game of thrones.
