The talents of Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan, and obviously the people they chose to cast never sease to amaze me. This is, simply put, a madterpiece. (PS: Jim Pearsons deserves an Emmy for this role)

I’m a 40 year old white male and I think this series is just beautiful. I got very emotional by the end, especially while watching the last season. I think it comes at the right time, it hopefully reminds us that hating others because they are different is wrong, at least to me this is the message written between the lines. The actors are great, the story is beautiful and emotional, love that retro style Hollywood picture. I find it very entertaining and enjoyed watching it a lot. Expand

In the middle and second half there are an increasing number of quiet confessional scenes which I found very heartfelt, surprising, emotional and moving. I was teary more than once, and quite heartwarmed. I don’t really understand the lukewarm critical response. Perhaps it’s because I’m a gay man that I liked it so much - very handsome young male cast - but I would recommend this quite unreservedly to almost any viewer. I loved it. Expand

Absolutely loved it. Fantastic performances all around, and a story like this honestly needs to exist. Forget history - a good story doesn't need it.

Some Movies depict reality, others are for nightmares and some are for Dreams.
The Dream of "what if, after the second world war, when America and Hollywood had the chance and power to redefine itself, minorities like black, gay, Asian, female or Jewish would have been able to stand up for themselves" is a tantalizing one.
And the fact that obvious to everyone, it's as far from reality as it can possibly be, might be the biggest criticism of an era at its dawn.
That this criticism appears on Netflix is even more ironic.
I had an amazing time with this show and were blown away by its incredible cast and how it comes together.

Amazing show, critics did not like it because it is a criticism of their own work. Just. Watch. It. Please.
