The High Potential season 2 premiere shows exactly why Morgan is one of the most interesting new characters on TV.
-
The series continues to build on the strengths that Olson brings to the table. She knows how to land a fantastic reaction, be it comedic or poignant, and High Potential smartly leans into that gift, as well as her warm rapport with Sunjata, Reyes, and Amirah J.

After the fast pacing, shocking plot twists, and genuinely funny moments in these episodes, you'll be looking forward to what the rest of Season 2 has in store.
-
While we still enjoy High Potential, especially now that Olson and the rest of the cast have settled into a nice rhythm with each other, we hope that the continuing Game Maker storyline doesn’t disrupt the show’s flow as much as it does in the first episode of Season 2.

You can easily see how it could run for many seasons to come. But if just a little more attention were paid to the supporting characters, it would make watching all of those seasons much more enjoyable.

The show is very good at keeping the suspense going, but it can’t quite stick the landing, and the storyline concludes with a preposterous gotcha. Still, there’s always next time. (In fact, Morgan’s subsequent case – although equally bananas – is better thought through, ending with a neat and surprisingly moving climax.)
