    Mostly I winced: at the irritatingly arch dialogue; at the hoochielicious every-other-scene dance routines; at Michalka's acting range, which seems to have just two settings--smug and self-righteous.

    Obviously the CW wanted to milk the popularity of shows like "Glee," which has singing and dancing. And is enormously popular. You can't blame the CW (except maybe for leaving out the creativity, for having a terrible script and for the acting, which hurts to witness).

    It actually wasn't that bad. Most of the acting was good, and the pilot was fun, and cheerful.

    These are some really attractive young people who are athletic and can somewhat act. And then it all falls apart. It reminds me of when I was young and going to the movies and seeing a flick like this and thinking it was stupid. Once I got into my late 20's I realized how screwed up the popular cheerleaders and jocks were. Mainly because I run into them from time to time and I see what they have become after High School and College and get to know their real stories. So, it is somewhat true to life.… Full Review »
