While attempting to pay off his parents' debt collectors, Hayate attempts to kidnap and hold for ransom the daughter (Sanzenin Nagi) of a very wealthy couple. Things become complicated when Nagi mistakes Hayate's kidnap attempt for a confession of his love for her. While botching his own kidnap attempt, he manages to save her from other kidnappers, causing her to fall madly in love with him. Nagi ends up hiring Hayate as a live-in butler to pay off his debt collectors and to keep the man of her dreams close at hand.
