I find this show very disturbing i knew a girl in highs school that was a little slow and it looks exactly where she is drawing her inspiration from same issue with the makeup lipstick on the teeth the over reaction and the low IQ.
It is very very obvious that she is making fun of people with mental disabilities and it should be canceled and the actress need to apologize to disabled

Not perfect, but it really entertained me. Miranda is still annoyingly funny; as expected. The whole cast is amazing! But I think Angela Kinsey and Erik Stocklin stole the show.

I've been eagerly awaiting Haters Back Off since its announcement, however, I did have some reservations in regards to Miranda's move from Youtube to the new platform. Turns out there was no need to be worried, the season was great overall and every episode felt fresh, each being equally entertaining.

Colleen, Chris and everyone else involved in the series have done an incredible job

There is nothing funny about this show. It's painful to watch. The level of stupidity involved in making this is astounding! Watching this show will give you brain cancer.

The show has an almost Peewee Herman level slapstick silly feel at first, but then it gets deep and dark. It throws constant weirdness, innuendo, and situational comedy at you that makes you laugh… then it reminds you that it’s all supposed to be real by presenting harsh consequences that make you feel bad for laughing… because what you’re really laughing at is the tragedy of a family plagued with mental illness spiraling downward into a hole. I love it! I can’t get enough of it! I can’t wait until next season!

This is way too forced to be funny. All characters are exagerated past minimum tolerance. The main message is a pretty valid one but the show is just more onoxious than I can take. A one note joke, that falls flat when extended, excruciatingly, over eight episodes. It works on youtube, sort of, when you don't know the shtick, but even then it's the same thing iterated endlessly.
The characters never really find their footing or develop any discernible depth, and it becomes more of an exercise in cringe-endurance.

Clever, absurd, ironic and very well acted.
Funny and sad at the same time: the present time's society mirror, where even the worst inept fancies himself a talented artist.
The problem of our reality is that, usually, many people totally lacking any talent, got success.

We have a proverb saying that each monkey which is uglier, its playfulness is more. No offense, but after strangers with candy I haven't seen someone pretending to be ugly and playful like Amanda in this show!
Fantastic show and fantastic actress. Pay attention, I said pretending otherwise she really is beautiful especially in big heart.

Each character puts their heart and soul into this performance, not false, total vulnerability at it's most intensity. They really are putting it all forward. It is far more advanced than SNL. This is one of the best comic shows i have ever watched. Totally in love with each character, they really poured their heart out in this show. I am so impressed. Topic is so current too; Internet stardom. Cast, - you will all go so so far in life. Do not ever settle for less, each and everyone of of you have proven to be remarkable with grand canyon level capabilities. Even the manger of the fish store is remarkable, noting the smaller role. This series has a beautiful mix of laughs and heart. It's like a modern day Napoleon Dynamite meets a fun loving 80s movie (ie Honey I shrunk the Kids) meets the untouchable Colleen Ballinger. I was so pleasantly surprised with this show as it isn't like the regular Miranda Sings videos, as it shouldn't be, but offers similar qualities of the Youtube channel so many have come to love.

The aim of the show is to make fun of sensitivity and emotional intelligence and the only way you could enjoy the show is if you jumped on the bandwagon and became a hater yourself. Lazy humour, making fun of other people is so easy why not make me laugh with something more original?

You're not meant to root for Miranda or even like her. She's meant to be somewhat grotesque, it's her sister Emily who is the sympathetic character
I think a lot of people don't seem to understand comedy and dismiss anything that doesn't make them laugh. Humor is subjective but comedy isn't and this is a well acted and well written show that dares to be a bit different and that should be celebrated.

Haters Back Off was good harmless fun. It was spunky and had a fun little story. Was it great? No but it had it's redeeming qualities. Miranda showed a side that we never saw, it was deeper and bigger, little videos with no real story turned to big story based connecting episodes that was an experiment that could work for some people but for sure not all.

I never heard of the youtube channel Miranda Sings until I read reviews of this series, and having been neither able to make it through the pilot nor through any of the several videos I checked out, I can say this series isn't for me. But the lead does have some talent playing a no-talent - the opening song in the pilot is cleverly bad - so I can see where this might really appeal to some people.

This is the most disturbing thing I've ever seen on a TV show. This isn't funny. It's tragic. Who the frig had money and thought this was a good idea!? Even the 'Cone heads' barely had enough to put a movie together with and this is a fraction of the potential of that! As a comical satire, it's too over-the-top. On YouTube, a few minutes here or there is fine but it doesn't translate well to TV. Expand

This is an origin story, and like "Saturday Night Live" sketches blown up to big-screen size ("The Blues Brothers," "Wayne's World," "Superstar," et al.), it faces the challenge of shaping a funny idea into a semblance of life, and succeeds.

Miranda sings badly with great gusto; she is witheringly sarcastic to people even though we know she has misunderstood what they’ve said. It’s a very impressive, thought-through presentation by Ballinger. I admire it, but I also didn’t find it funny.
