Season 1 Review:
This is drinking-game catnip, a feast of bizarre and dubious choices played with irresistible sincerity. Terrible movies like this are an art form, Lifetime the genre’s Picasso. Of course Escaping the Palace is awful, but it’s also the most delicious piece of popcorn entertainment in years.

Even if you happen to stumble into it face-first, you may be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to put aside your cynicism for 88 minutes or so and enjoy the efforts to place a tiara on a story with an ending isn't necessarily happy but registers as satisfyingly resolute.

Plodding – and without the promise of unintentional comedy at every turn, the entire endeavour feels pointless. That said, royal-watchers counting down to the next season of The Crown may wish to seek it out. Because whatever else is to be said about Escaping the Palace, it’s competently put together.

The movie is bad written and full of lies. The acting is awful. It's easy to see Meghan's duplicitous, disrespectful, narrative-distorting influence all through this ridiculous movie. And, as usual, Harry and Meghan are the perennial victims. Totally nauseating! A cheap lifetime movie.

Pure garbage. $100,000,000 wasted. I just renewed my Netflix after almost a year without it. I'm not renewing after December just on principle for Netflix making this trash.
