    The show is no better or worse than "Perfect Couples," "Mad Love" or "Traffic Light." Which is to say it's populated with likable actors and rarely out-and-out bad, but it's also never much more than mildly amusing.

    As of one episode, it's decently entertaining, though its sharp writing suggests potential. It's earned my interest for at least a couple of more episodes.

    Some of the situations they encounter on the dating and relationship circuit are promisingly wacky, but the tortured jokes lean way too heavily on pop-culture references.

    Created by David Caspe, Happy Endings needs better writing and characters who don't look like characters in other forgettable sitcoms. Otherwise, this show's ending may be anything but happy.

    There's desperation here, and if Happy Endings would slow down long enough to let itself breathe, it might find a footing.

    Happy Endings is really no better than any of those other comedies ['Better With You,' 'Traffic Light' and 'Perfect Couples,'], which is to say, it's pretty weak.

    The characters on ABC's new sitcom Happy Endings seem likable and funny. So why, the viewer may ask, does the show give them such a forced and convoluted back-story that it keeps getting in the way of both those qualities?

    I think this show is the funniest comedy out there right now! Right up there with "how I met your mother." Every episode has at least oneI think this show is the funniest comedy out there right now! Right up there with "how I met your mother." Every episode has at least one scene that you find yourself rewinding to, because you were laughing too hard to see the whole thing. Every character has their own unique and comedic flare to bring to the table. I look forward to it every week and haven't been disappointed yet. Please, check it out! The humor in this show is both hilarious and just subtle enough to be fully enjoyable. The characters are believable, heart warming, play their roles beautifully. The plot gives you the option to either watch one episode or enjoy the series as a whole which is always a plus. It's set in Chicago, though we're not exposed to the character of the city whatsoever. The humor is light, topical, and littered w/ pop culture references as expected. Definitely not POC-friendly with it's white liberal "don't see color" attitude and use of the term "gay-cist". Would really benefit from a more diverse group of scriptwriters. Overall, it was pretty watchable, if not a little too into itself (not unlike its characters).… Full Review »
