Hannibal is one of the best series out there if not the best. It was ahead of its time and it deserves more seasons.

One of the most beautiful (if not the most beautiful), intriguing, dark, TV show ever created.
The story is not over!

100% recommend, it's a masterpiece.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Hannibal is a gorgeous show, full of memorial characters, witty dialogue, and beautiful (gorgeous) cinematography. The natural progression of events, the way the show plays with the concepts within the novel, and makes them come to life is breathtaking.

My biggest issue with this show though might be it's abrupt and (strangely) problematic ending.

I like the idea of the homoerotic tension between Will and Hannibal but in the final moments of the show, when they both decide to embrace and fall to there (supposed) deaths. Something about this feels incredibly thematically puzzling. A lot of Hannibal felt like leading to the rejection of a toxic relationship. By having the show end the way it decides, it feels dishearting and sorta heavy-fisted. The lead up doesn't pay-off, the message of the show itself, feels cruel and dishearting.

I think I might generally be in the minority with this opinion, however. My biggest criticisms are particularly aimed at the third season of the show. The Red Dragon himself feels rathe, whilst admittedly creepy and foreboding, a little pathetic compared to Hannibal. It would have been nice to physically see more acts of Violence from the character, adding more terror and discomfort. Make him feel more wild and unpredictable with his displays of murder and mythology. In saying all of this, I really did enjoy Hannibal. I would totally recommend watching it alone for seasons 1 - 3 (1/2) *There is a moment in season 3 that feels conclusive as an ending.

The series is one of the finest series in the world in terms of concept and story and attracts the viewer, especially in the second season of the series, culminating in his own story.

Fantastic show, but clearly written by someone who is unfamiliar with the DC metro area. Wolf Trap, VA is described as being "in the middle of nowhere" by Will Graham even though it's a suburb of DC. Hannibal has no competition in other shows, the number of people who said the other shows are now always less interesting after they watched Hannibal is huge! (only in the best way of course)

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Speechless, this show is very intellectually challenging and I love the emotions shown through the use of small facial shifts. My favorite is whenever Hannibal serves his friend's human flesh in the form of a delicious meal and when he observes their faces when they take the first bite. It is a subtle glance but shows so much, what an amazing actor. Expand

The implicit Beauty of what is socially considered horrible. The unspoken love between two highly dangerous men, a sick but understandable love. Art, love, beauty and death in one place

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Hannibal is like a piece of art, you can watch it one time and be overwhelmed by all the visuals. When you go and watch it again after the shock of the grotesque, you see how beautiful it looks in its many layers. Bryan Fuller takes the characters and makes them all in some way earn at least a little of our sympathy. Hannibal is played so wonderfully by Mads Mikkelsen, who has a way to show so many emotions behind Hannibal's serious face. I love how the character is shown and how much fun he's having when he plays games with others. Hugh Dancy as Will Graham is fantastic. He gives such a charming performance and is able to show every change and evolution the character goes through. All of the cast put their whole souls into this show and you can see it clearly with how much love is shown in every episode. Expand

Très bonnes série, avec des personnages à la psychologie abouti, dommage qu'il n'y est pas eu une saison 4 , bien que la fin soit assez satisfaisante!!
