Boring episode, it seems like a generic sci fi show but using halo universe skins … it’s sad because I love Halo universe and this series it’s just destroying it. Kwan sideline story is boring …

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This episode continues the themes from the previous episode. It is emotional. It is revalatory. Again, no action. For the gamer fans, that's a bitter pill. But theatrically, I think it really works. Though it does feel like the show is starting to bite off more than it can chew. There's several sub plots that are being followed. But while three of the sub plots seem to be intertwined, the Soren Kwan Ha plot line seems to be going off into never-never-land. The show spends way too much time establishing the villain of that story, Vinsher Grath, who doesn't seem to have anything to do with the main storyline. The time they spent allowing him to give his motivations was a waste of time and that screen time could have been given to the other more important antagonist, Makee. On the other end though, the Kai sub plot merging with the Miranda Keyes sub plot makes a fully telling of the tale showing the background characters are not just one-dimensional NPCs. Though the exchanges still feel like first cut drafts, it still works. Expand
